"What the hell was that?" Shreya asked once I returned to the table.
"Why did you take so long? If he was bothering you, you should have told us, or just walked away from there." Ramya added.
"Chill guys! Nothing much happened." I answered. "Anyway, how's the whole PR thing going on, Sahana? Did you meet Dhruv?" I diverted our attention to Sahana. She had recently changed her work stream from HR to PR and was now in charge of maintaining Dhruv Nanda's account. How cool, right!?
"No luck in meeting him still. Now, I feel HR was only better. Too much tension and headache in PR dude. And that fellow, so irritating. He doesn't respond properly, always has the team on their toes." She started complaining.
"Don't say a word against him! He's so hot and handsome. Everything is allowed for him." Ramya said dreamily.
"Gurl! Get out of your dreamland. He's an a**hole in real life." Sahana let out an annoyed sigh.
"So what? For how he looks he has to be an a**hole" I said "Or else everyone will take advantage of him." I continued when Ramya glared at me.
"Enough of Dhruv Nanda. Now back to the old topic. What was that uncle talking with you?" Sahana asked, making me the target again.
"I said, nothing. What more do I tell?"
"It is not like you to hold a conversation with a stranger for so long." Shreya pointed.
"Huh! Exactly. You hardly talk to us only. What was so interesting in that uncle you were talking so much with him?" Ramya asked.
"Aiyyo! You guys won't leave until I tell you!?"
They all nodded in sync.
"Fine. He told me I reminded him of his daughter, which he lost long back. And he also wanted to call me 'Magale' once."
"That's all? For that, you took so long?" Sahana asked.
"No! He also asked me to call him 'Appa' for the same daughter reason."
"That's creepy dude. Tell me you didn't address him as 'Appa' and came right back here." Shreya said.
"Actually... I did. And as soon as I did he just said..." I stopped not wanting to disclose what my Appa had said to me.
*Oye! He's not your Appa. Your father is Sagar the one in the showroom with a grumpy mood around you. Remember!?*
Had I just called that man my Appa, wow. What is happening?
"What did he say? You always go into some dreamland of yours!" Shreya's words brought me back to reality.
"Nothing important. He just caressed my head and left."
