It was the day when I would meet Sagar's family. Guru had insisted on accompanying me as my father but I denied it. I wanted to study Sagar's family and find my target, the one who'll help me destroy him from the inside out.
When I arrived my eyes searched for Amrutha. I found her, standing next to another girl who was completely in awe with me. It was right then that I considered her to be my option for the target. Just as I was about to make my way to my sister, Sagar came and greeted me. I returned the same.
He then went on to introduce me to his family, mostly the elders. I met the boys of the family too. None of them were up to the standard of being my target, except one. His name was Amar he was a keen one. It felt as though he was scanning me from head to toe, the only one who had a suspicious eye toward me. The rest were too happy to see me.
*Isn't that a bit odd? You better be careful.* my subconscious warned me and I took it in full sense.
Amrutha walked over to us.
"Ammu, so nice to see you. How are you?" I asked before anything.
"All good! I'm surprised you came. Now that you have..." she leaned in a bit closer, and whispered "All the best!" She even patted my back. It felt so nice.
"Thank you!" I whispered back. We exchanged a genuine laugh and then Sagar interfered as usual and swept me away from my sister, introducing me to other people. These weren't even his close family. Some were his staff and the others were random acquaintances. I'm now doubting the intention of this party/get-together.
Soon we were back near Amrutha & the other girl who was checking me out earlier.
"This is Bhoomika. She is an engineer. She works in IT but still makes time out for the family. Very good girl." Sagar introduced the other girl to me. So her name is Bhoomika. Out of all the people I've met so far, this one seems to be the perfect fit as my target. She is already mesmerised by me, I'll just have to add in my charm and I have an insider right here.
"And you know her..." Sagar said pointing towards Amrutha in a very casual way.
"Of course. The only one I know properly." I responded
"Nice to meet you, Prajwal," Bhoomika said forwarding her hand.
"It's Prajwal Gowda." I replied taking her hand and giving it a brisk shake.
Sagar then leads me to Bhoomika's parents. They were good, genuine people. I already feel bad for using their daughter in my plan but what can I do? She is just there and the best target.

Sagar pulled this stunt of raising a toast for me. I had to play along and pretend to be grateful. When in reality I was grateful for one person and one person alone present here today, my sister - Amrutha Gowda.
