With Appa's approval, Phase 2 of our plan is implemented. With the men seated in their respective chairs and Pankaj uncle on video call, I began elaborating on what I'd planned.
"I've asked Sagar Bhoomika's number. Once he sends it, I will contact her and decide a date, time and place to meet."
"But why? Can't you just talk over the phone? This will reduce the risk of getting involved," Guru intervened.
"I agree. But it wouldn't sell it. There would still be some sort of animosity. So, meeting her in person would be the best. I can get to know what kind of a person she is. If she can be easily manipulated or do we keep our steps a bit more careful."
"Good idea!" Appa appreciated.
"The plan is to go on and on about how much they mean to me. How much starting a family means to me and other shit like that. I also need to know about her likes and dislikes."
"Why would you need that? It's not like you are thinking of some possible future with her." Bhargav chimed in.
"No bro! If I know what she likes or something personal about her, I might be able to get her to comply with me easily."
"But why do you have to do that? She is just a pawn in our plan!" Bhargav continued his argument.
"Aye mental! It gives me the upper hand. The faster she falls into our plan the better for us."
All of them made an "Ohhhh" sound. Seriously I tell you, such dumbf*cks I have with me.
"Now, how are you going to get to know that?" Appa asked.
"That's what he'll do in the first meeting, Harish! That's why he wants to meet her personally." Pankaj uncle answered.
"No! I'll have all the details before the first meeting because the plan is to impress her. Make her believe that I paid attention to her at that dinner party."
"Ok so, how do you plan to find out about her without even talking to her?" Bhargav asked.
"Superman Ayaan Sehgal to the rescue." Ayaan shouted from behind. "This was the very reason I extended my stay in Bangalore." He gave Bhargav a friendly handshake and proceeded to greet the elders.
"Knowing he was in Bangalore, I had to make the best use of this fellow. That's why I met him the day after the dinner. I had already decided to make Bhoomika the pawn and was waiting for the right time."
"And Sagar just handed it over to you." Guru completed my sentence.
"All that is fine. Does this mean he knows everything?" Bhargav asked me while pointing at Ayaan.
"That he is right next to you. And he is hurt!" Ayaan and his drama. What is Ayaan without his drama?
"Yup! I explained everything thing to him that day."
