The next day, I woke up and went to the gym, and by the time I was back home, my parents had already left for the showroom, which was odd! They don't leave that early. I was about to call them when I saw a note stuck on my washroom mirror. It was by my mom. She does this when she has something to tell me but can't due to circumstances or the situation. The note read...
"Dad got a call from the supplier. There is some problem. So, we have left early. Make breakfast for yourself and come to the showroom if you want to. Dad is not in a good mood."
I could sense the warning in Mom's note but, when is my father's mood good? It is always the same grumpy one when I'm around. So, I decided to head to the showroom.
I got ready, had bread toast for breakfast and left for the showroom. Thankfully there was a parking space near the showroom. My father doesn't like it if I park the car in the showroom parking lot, he says it eats away the spot of a potential customer. So, I parked my car elsewhere and went inside the showroom.
I was greeted by Murali uncle at the entrance.
"Yen amma ivattu neevu bandideera?"
(What ma, you have come today?)
"Howdu, barona anstu, adakke bande."
(Yes, I felt like coming, that's why I came.)
"Ok. Come in."
"Oh wow, uncle. Full on English speaking!" I teased him to which he blushed.
I left him blushing and made my way inside. My dad was frantically walking around talking on his phone. Tension dripped from his face.
I walked towards my mom, who was sitting in her seat.
"What happened? Why is he so tensed?" I asked.
"The supplier is giving us problems with the car delivery and details." She said.
"Uncle normally doesn't do that, right?"
"This is a new supplier. We found him for Mr Gowda's car request. He was giving proper information now he is suddenly pulling back." She answered.
"This Mr Gowda is giving so much tension to us. I'm not getting a good vibe from him."
"You don't know him so stop talking," Dad said from behind.
"I was just telling because of him you are taking so much tension."
"You don't know anything about business. Tension is a part and parcel of it." He said still angry.
I kept quiet not wanting any more argument. I'm telling you, this Gowda is not good for us three. Just on cue...
"Oh! Mr Gowda welcome! You are on time!" My dad said.
