"The plan is very simple..." I began but was cut off immediately by none other than my father.

"If it is that simple why haven't you implemented it yet? Why no results?" He asked.

I sighed and rubbed my fingers on my forehead. I shouldn't have told Appa anything. Should have just kept him in the dark and one fine day just surprised him. By what's done is done. I have to deal with this.

"Will you listen to me!? Without interrupting?" I arched my brow in question.

"Sari, sari! Continue. I won't interrupt you."

(Sari = Ok)

"Good!" I relaxed a bit on the couch playing the plan once in my head before bringing it to words. "As we know, Sagar has a second-hand car showroom. I will go there posing as a customer. Slowly will make my way to his family life. Maybe get involved with some lady of the family."

"NO! You are not doing that! I've thought you better to respect a lady's honour. How could even think of it?" Appa cut me. Again!

"I didn't mean it that way, Appa. Chill! I meant I might give hints of being interested. But if you don't want me to. I won't. I will look into some other way to cement myself into his routine." I paused waiting for Appa to interrupt me but when he didn't I continued... "So, with me being constantly seeing Amrutha. The goal is to make her acquaintance and somehow get her to confide in me. About all her feelings and everything she has to share. Then one fine day, just rip the bandaid off and tell her the truth."

"And how do you think she will react differently then as compared to now?" Pankaj uncle asked.

"Good question. She would have known me by then. I will make sure that my sister knows who & what she is getting into."

"Can I be the person to tell her the truth?" Appa asked.

"That is secondary, Harish! The main point now is why and how will Sagar let you in his world. You will be just another customer. Unless you have a plan for that too." Pankaj uncle cut Appa's question with his own.

"Yes, I do! I won't be just any customer. I will place an order for a high-end car. Something that isn't available in his showroom, something he hasn't dealt with yet! Once I do that, he will take time. But with the help of my contacts, I will make sure everything gets delayed." I sucked in a breath. "Then I'll pay him extra advance even though he couldn't source the vehicle. It will build some trust in him and I'm guessing that will be enough for him to let me in."

"Oh my! You do have a solid no-leak plan!" Guru exclaimed. He knew the outline of my plan, not the details and backups I had, just in case stuff went south.

"Why do you men always underestimate me? I've been handling the business for so long!" I said disappointed.

"Because this isn't business. This is life. Our life." Appa said. "Your plan sounds good. It should work. Hell, it will work! But tell me, where am I in it? What is my role?"
