"It's ok! Please come in." Sagar said in a more sweeter tone.
"Are you sure sir!?" I asked with some added respect. After all, I had to get into his good books.
"Yes! Yes! Please come in. How may I help you?"
"I want to buy a new car, a second-hand one. The Internet led me to your showroom." I swiped my arm across his showroom. Now that we were in, I was sure to ask for the Mercedes Cabriolet. This showroom has its style. It gives out 'affordable luxury'.
*Did you just compliment your rival?* this subconscious of mine, I tell you!
"He isn't my rival and yes, yes I did compliment but I complimented his showroom, not him. So, just shut up and let me concentrate."
With no objection from my subconscious, I continued my inspection of the showroom. Sagar waited patiently for me to finish my scrutiny.
"As I was saying, I wanted a second-hand car. I've tried a few other showrooms but they weren't positive about providing me with what I want."
"Oh! My showroom isn't like the other ones. I promise I can give you what you want."
"Oh, I know! You can and will give what I want." I whispered.
"Sorry, I didn't catch you."
"And you won't as well," I replied.
"Nice joke. I like your jovial personality." Sagar said. I could sense his nervousness.
"Now, coming to the car, hope you won't disappoint me..."
"Oh no, no! I have the best cars in town. Rest assured your demand will be met." He said reassuring me. Yukta had made her way to her cabin. She handles the books in the showroom.
I just gave a small laugh at Sagar's statement.
"What is it that you need from me?" He asked continuing his efforts.
"For now, I want a Mercedes..."
"I have plenty of them in stock. They may not be on display but rest assured I have them." He said cutting me. He is completely self-centred. That's for sure.
"Good then. You won't have any issue getting me a Mercedes Cabriolet, the one with the top open." I could a small bead of sweat on Sagar's forehead when I was done making my demand.
I must admit, when he said he had a stock of Mercedes cars I was taken aback and for a second, just for a second, thought he would have what I wanted in stock. But thankfully he doesn't. His reaction when I mentioned the car's name says it all.
"I'm sorry..."
"No problem. You are just like other vendors. It was nice talking to you." I said, this time I was the one who cut him mid-sentence. It feels so good seeing all the reactions on his face. Even though he covers up within seconds, I don't miss them.
