Episode 46: A Togepi Mirage!

Recapping what happened, what started as a happy reunion with their old friend, Misty, now the leader of the Cerulean Gym, turned sour when both she and Mew fell victim to Colonel Hansn's evil plot, regent of the Mirage Kingin. His plan was to use Misty or Mew's Togepi to claim the throne of the Mirage Kingdom. After escaping the colonel's trap, they meet Sara, the princess and rightful heir to the throne. But still, Hansen remained intent on capturing one of the girls' Togepi! So now, fully enmeshed in the Mirage Kingdom succession conflict, what will be the two Togepis' fate?

The smoke soon clears.

"You can't win!" Hansen says.

Princess Sara begs the colonel, "Stop this at once, Hansen!""

But Col. Hansen commands his Pokemon, "Shedinja, Solar Beam! Ninjask, Hyper Beam!"

All three fire the attacks

Just then, both Togepi start glowing bright blue before creating a barrier that halts all three attacks and shocks everyone.

"A Safeguard? But how?" Princess Sara asks, shocked.

Within the mirage of the coronation temple, a portal opens, and from it, a beam fires that hits the Safeguard and expands it, further blinding everyone before the light fades to show our heroes had disappeared.

"They've disappeared!" James says, shocked G

"Where'd dey go?" Meowth asks.

Jessie turns to the Colonel, "What's going on, Colonel Hansen?"

The upside down temple mirage soon disappears.

All Col. Hansen says, "Follow me, to the temple!"

"Yes, sir," Team Rocket says, and follows.

Meanwhile, everyone finds themselves in a brand new land. With two Togepi still floating.

Princess Sara turns to Miranda, "Miranda, where are we?"

"Your highness, we are now deep within the mirage we saw above the temple. We're within the place known as Togepi Paradise," Miranda says.

Everyone was in shock at the news.

"A paradise," Misty says, surprised.

"Yes Misty, I've been here once before with Sara's father, the king," Miranda says, "The Mirage Kingdom has always protected the Togepi Paradise, and has been protected in return. Our two worlds exist in a delicate balance. But it seems that much has changed since I was here last.

"Look at the trees and plants," Mew says.

"They're wilting," Max says.

Miranda then explains, "You see, Togepi are born here before they're sent out to touch the hearts of people in our dimension. And after their mission is complete, they return here.

"Togepi and Faye sure touched our hearts," Mew says.

Faye and Togepi soon float off after sensing something.

"Togepi, Faye, wait!" Misty calls out.

"Where are you going?!" Mew calls out.

Everyone follows Togepi and Faye before they find several other Togepi, looking weak and battered. They're not the only ones. There are two other kinds of creatures as well in the same condition.

Dainty, bipedal Pokémon that is small in stature. They have white bodies with a red and blue triangular ring pattern on its body. It also has a relatively long neck and long legs and a pair of wings on its back, giving it a vaguely angelic appearance.
