madeline wrapped her arms around his waist and kissed him gently. "i'm sorry i'm late, but i brought you these" he smiled handing the blond a bouquet of flowers.

"caleb you didn't have to" she kissed him again.
"i don't need a reason to give you flowers now do i" he wrapped his arms around her torso and picked her up effortlessly.

i sat with my sisters cat in my lap where caleb's friend sat beside me petting him too.

i feel like i got along with everyone except madz best friend nola. which scared me. 

most of the party was everyone eating and listening to music. everyone brought snacks and they were all gone pretty quickly. on top of the maccas too.

everyone congregated in groups around her apartment till around 11 when they started going home. it was more like a big family hang out than a party. everyone was so chill. but i guess there was no drinks so no one was festive enough? i don't know. i dont go to alot of parties. everyone hugged goodbye as they left and i had to go home to amber.

she had been texting me the entire day. and so i felt bad.

i said goodbye to madeline and started driving to ambers.
"hi" i smiled at her mum who was looking stressed at the kitchen. it was close to midnight so i was surprised she was up.

"hey violet" she looked exhausted 

"go to bed" i said holding her hand. "i got it" i could tell she felt bad for me.

tracey went to bed and i headed to ambers room.
"where have you been! i swear i haven't seen you in days" she whined getting up to give me a hug. she pulls me down the the bed and kisses me again.

"im sorry my love, i've been busy"
"ugh well, you're here now, my mum keeps asking me how my day is as soon as i get home from school like can't she realise i just want to go to bed. ugh you're so lucky you live with your aunt"

"i have no choice amber, my parents died"

"yeah i know baby, it's so sad isn't it. i wonder if that happened to me. maybe i could come live with you instead oh or you move in here and we live together yes that would be amazing"

i just stayed silent. it didn't take long for her to want to go to sleep so we put on a movie and she fell asleep in my arms.

i stared at her ceiling covered in posters.
it was 3am. 3:19 to be exact.

but i couldn't sleep, i felt so trapped.

tears brimmed my eyes as i looked down and saw the fresh cuts down ambers leg. it was my fault. i didn't respond to her quick enough i wasn't here for her.

i turned to her bedside table once again. the medication staring back at me. i can't become addicted. i can't become addicted.

i popped another. it's my last one. that's what i promised myself.

in the morning i was woken up by amber. "i have to go to school, ill see you tonight though?" she asked and i hesitantly nodded.

she left and i was stuck in her room. her mum came in a few hours later. and brought me breakfast. it must be her day off.

"you have rehearsals after lunch right?" she asked me and i nodded.

"yeah, do you need any help with anything today?" i asked her and she shook her head.

"no it's okay, i don't need your help" she smiled and left me to eat.

looking at my phone i see ive been followed by alot of madeline's friends.

later on

i get ready for the day and soon leave ambers house to head to set.

i arrived the same time as madeline and she ran to give me a hug. then we walked in with our arms linked.

"aren't you so exited for today! i love coming to set" she was extremely happy today. practically skipping.

"yeah it's cool" i almost laughed at her excitement. when we got inside scarlett pulled her in for a hug which she happily accepted.

"you're happy today?" scarlett noticed the same thing.

"i'm in a good mood" she shrugged. she genuinely looked like a ray of sunshine right now.

today we got to try on some of the costumes that had been put together. i was in jeans and layered tops while madz had a short skirt, black stockings and a tight top on. i looked to the floor and waited for everyone to start the scene. 

it was the part we were practicing yesterday and we were right in assuming the writers wanted her in my lap. 

"maybe pull a little with her necklace first and then go in for the kiss" greta instructed. 

"you okay?" madeline asked me softly, i nodded. 

and so we started the scene again all up until where she was supposed to kiss me. her hand reached for my necklace and i will admit i was nervous, even though this is just acting and we both are in relationships im scared. what if im actually bad a kissing? 

my thoughts were silenced as she leaned in and closed her eyes. our lips moved in a unique rhythm i heard the director say cut but i dont know if madeline did. pulling away she looked at me for a second before hearing the director start talking again. she just grinned at me and turned around to hear whats next. 

i couldnt hear anything. my heart was pounding, why is it pounding. oh god what will amber do when she finds out about this. 

"you're a really good kisser by the way" madz commented pulling me up from the bed we were sitting on. 

"what?" i genuiently thought i heard her wrong. 

"you violet watson, are a good kisser"
