violets pov

maddie fell asleep and i stayed still finishing the movie. we had been sharing a blanket and her head was on my shoulder but she's moved down to laying in my lap.

i absentmindedly played with her hair as the whole hill scene played out. i remember going to set one day with my aunt and meeting everyone when i was younger.

when the movie finished i gently got up holding madeline's head so she didn't wake up before deciding if i attempt to carry her to her room or just leave her here.

i decided to try and lift her bridal style and after struggling to look where im going i pray her room is clean and i don't trip.

i stand on clothes but luckily nothing else as i put her down in her bed.
she rolls over instantly pulling the covers around herself.

i fix the blankets a bit before cleaning our rubbish from dinner. by now i had my own toothbrush here so i clean my teeth before joining her in bed.

i knew she wouldn't care anyway. telling my aunt im staying over i lift the blankets up. i love her but she's a total starfish. moving her limbs im able to climb in but quickly she had her arm and leg over me anyway.

the next morning.

madeline's pov

someone knocks on my bedroom door and i couldn't think to who it is. i pull myself off violet and sit up in bed confused how i got here but the door swings open before i can think about it anymore.

"hey madz, beach day today remember" scarlett said.

"no i completely forgot"
"forgot what" violet then sits up and i see scarlett's eyes flick between us in surprise before she laughs.
"well seems like i don't have to drive to violets now, come on girls get up" she said and we both fell back into bed with a groan.

"did you know we were going to the beach today?"
"i thought that was next week"
"i didn't even know it was happening"
"atleast we don't have to drive"
"do you think scarlett will let me get a coffee"
"no"
"way to be pessimistic"

we got out of bed and scarlett was all ready sitting at my kitchen table. both violet and my cars aren't built for off roading so that's why scarlett was taking us.

"how did you get in here" vi asked the blond as i made a mental note i need to buy a coffee machine. think about the money i would save.

"i have a key"
"wow madz where my key"
"i'll get it off nola" i sighed then remembering my shit double life.

after getting ready we started the hour drive to the beach. it was going to be a very long day today. 9am-7pm i'm pretty sure

"so do you just not go to school anymore?" scarlett asked me as i sat in her passenger side.

"no, i mean im enrolled so i can go in when i want but other than that im supposed to do it all online"

"and do you?" she said in that motherly tone.
"well im a bit behind right now, but we have a break next week so i plan on getting back into it then"

violet was in control of the music so we had quite a bit of fleetwood mac playing.
when we got to set the sun was shining and the water looked so crystal clear. but i felt like shit.

i put swimmers on before going to hair and makeup. we had to do minimal and it all had to be water proof so i didn't look that different when i came out of the chair. the only thing being they put seasalt spray in my hair so it has beach waves. almost like riki from h20

violet had a matching look just with a dark red bikini on. we got together with the rest of the cast and got a run down of the scenes today.

i had sunscreen all over me as i can't get burnt and i felt so disgusting.
sienna and micheal and a few other teenagers were all sitting around on the beach blanket that was down. violet was instructed to have her arm around me and her hand fell to my side.

she gently scratched my skin stealing all my focus as we get told directions.
i laid my head on her shoulder as the scene started.

this scene was one of the first scenes in the movie since its before everything happens. unfortunately we filmed the scene a million times.

when it was our first break of the day everyone and some of the crew ran for the water. it was so hot.

i jumped in over a wave before getting out far enough where i can duck under them.
violet soon joined me and we talked but it was hard to have a conversation as i kept trying to body surf.

i swear something touched my leg so i screamed jumping onto violet so i didnt have to stand on the ocean floor.

"something has it out for me"
"madz it's the ocean, it was probably a fish"
"don't tell me that"
"are you" she paused laughing "scared of the ocean"
"i'm scared of things i can't see, you never know what's trying to kill you"
"okay okay that's fair"

we headed back in and i picked through the assortment of fresh fruit they had laid out. "scootch" violet laughed grabbing my hips and moving me over so she could grab some.

"if i ever become a millionaire im having a full fruit farm" she hummed and scarlett came over throwing a shirt over both our shoulders.

"don't go getting burnt" she warned i nodded putting my arms through the cotton shirt. i grabbed a handful of grapes and walked to grab a cold drink.

i sat in one of the beach chairs next to me and checked my phone for the first time.
