friendships and food

madeline's pov

we ended up talking all night and then going out the beach in the early morning. just like when we were kids and would sneak out after everyone went to bed.

we had brought blankets out here and were going to wait around to watch the sunrise
"we can both drive why do we never hang out" she asked as we sat back down from our walk.

the sun was rising again and i was reminded of last night when i stayed up for the sunrise aswell.
we had a photo shoot again as we were going on about how we don't have enough photos of eachother. recent pictures atleast. after the sunrise was over we headed inside and went to sleep.

it was only 7am and i had to be out of here by 3pm. hazel took the other room and we were both up a couple hours later.

i said goodbye to her as she headed home it was 2:30 so i grabbed my stuff making sure i had everything and i left it all how it should be.

i enjoyed the trip and i could so easily stay for another month. it was almost sad driving back to the city.

i didn't want to go to my apartment so i asked violet if i could come over. she agreed instantly so i started to drive there.

by now my car was almost out of fuel so i would have to top that up on my way home.
when she opened the door she greeted me in a hug.

"how you feeling?" she questioned grabbing my hand to pull me inside and close the door behind her.
"i feel calmer and more put together" i answered. i didn't give myself much time to think about the whole caleb thing on my little holiday. if anything i was trying not to think at all.

she lead me to her room but i said hello to her aunt first. her room was really clean and i fell into her bed immediately. "you're welcome to sleep madz, i know how much you love it. we can go to dinner another night" she said. and i mean neither of us were ready but i feel really bad for canceling on her.

"betty's delivers right?" i asked and she said she would check. and so i took my hair out, took off my shoes and got under her covers.
"i pulled an all nighter both nights and although i slepted during the day. i'm still exhausted"

"and you drove while that tired?" she asked. i didn't answer her and just closed my eyes. she closed her blinds and got in beside me.

"i will convert you to my napping ways"
"i don't think so"

we both fell asleep a few minutes later.

it was her aunt who woke us up at 7pm saying she had to go out. violet decided to order our food while i continued to sleep. i had completely sprawled out in her bed now and had rolled over so many times the blanket was like a snake around my ankle.

violets pov

i left the room allowing madeline to sleep peacefully while i ordered our food on the phone. she didn't actually tell me what she wanted but knowing her i got what i figured she would like.

my little brothers were in the lounge room watching bluey and i asked if they wanted anything. our aunt had left us money to buy a pizza or something for dinner so ill just pay the difference.

they got kids meals and milkshakes each. after that was sorted i went back to my room. madz was awake and on the phone.

"yes mum. i promise not to disappear for 3 days again" she said amused and then mouthed that she was on the phone to scarlett.

she pats the spot next to her and i sit back in bed. she lays across my lap continuing to talk to scarlett.

"you should be proud, i haven't had coffee in 3 days" she said to scarlett. i couldn't hear the response but maddie was smiling.
"well no but violet just ordered dinner" she pointed at me as if scarlett could see it. i started to set up mario cart on the tv and she instantly sat up wrapping up her conversation with scarlett.

"i dibs baby peach" 

"of course you play as her" 

"whats that supposed to mean" 

violet just shook her head with a laugh. i eyed her jokingly and we continued to pick our cars and so on. 

we played a few rounds until vi got a notification that our food was here. i jumped to go get it from the door. almost falling on the way i hear her laughing as she followed me and called for her siblings. alex and her boyfriend appeared from her room and i gave her a knowing look. she blushed and came right over to me. we had become closer recently and she talked to me about her boyfriend. more than she tells violet. i guess because i would get it more. 

violet and dean? - i think that was the boyfriends name- handed everyones food out to them. before disappearing back to where they were. 

i sat on violets floor not wanting to get stuff all over her bed. and she joined me with no questions asked. "how much do i owe you" i said taking another bite. 

"dont worry about it" she dismissed it. 

"okay no. its like 20 bucks right? ill send you 25" i said grabbing my phone. she grabbed it off me and threw it on the bed. 

"madz seriously" 

"ugh i hate you, lets get yo-chi later then and ill pay" 

"i will never turn down yo-chi" we ate while talking. it seemed like we never ran out of things to talk about. "so" she started hesitantly "hows the boyfriend"
