madeline's pov

caleb picked me up the morning of the lunch and wanted to take me out. he took me to a vintage thrift that just opened up where stuff was actually affordable.

we talked like how we used to and laughed at all the same stuff. we found matching sets of jeans which was cool. they had embroidered butt pockets which was cool.

he then found some shirts and i got a jacket. i also scored some baby tees and little singlets. it really was a very successful shop in my opinion.

he had his arm around my shoulders and i had my hand in his back pocket. we felt normal again. we then stopped outside a flower shop and he saw my eyes lingering on a certain bouquet of lillies.

he smiled grabbing it and walking inside to the shop owner.
he buys it without me even asking and hands it to me.

"beautiful flowers for my beautiful girl"
"that was so cheesy"
"oh but you love me" he leaned down and kissed my temple
"maybe a little" i laughed as we fell into step again down the path.

we got some smoothies. well i got a smoothie he got a soft drink. before heading to the lunch spot.

it was a nicer restaurant and his mum hugged me after not seeing me for a while.
i really felt like a pizza. so that's what i ordered.

we were all talking and his little sisters were still obsessed with me. which i found so cute his brother wasn't so interested though and seemed like he wanted to be home.

we went back to caleb's after lunch and sat in his movie room for a movie.

his dog came and sat with half his body on my lap so most of my attention was on him. caleb had his arm around me and i was leaning into his chest.

maybe i was just over reacting earlier. caleb is sweet. my flowers sat in a glass on the table for when i take it home and we had shown his mum what we bought. and she was shocked at the quality.

i went home just before dinner since i decided to go to work today.
i went home and got changed finding my apron. it's been a few weeks and i just picked up this shift earlier today.

when i walked into work i genuinely missed the place. alejandro brought me into a hug since it had been ages. and he sees me as his daughter.

after his moment of affection and kindness he shoed me away telling me to get to work. and went back to his usual mean expression.

normal tables. nice customers. it was good to be back. i got 110 dollars in tips tonight which was even better.

and i have an hour to go. just as i was about to take a break chris evan's walks into my section.
with barely looking i grab my phone to text violet. she loves marvel.

i didn't get a chance to see her response as i put my phone in my pocket and went to walk to him and his date.

"good evening, welcome to alejandro's, have you had a chance to look over the menu?" i asked as they were now kept on the tables.

after taking their orders i handed them to the kitchen and saw not violets but scarlett's messages.

again i couldnt see her response as i returned with their drinks.
"it wouldn't be awkward, a friend of scarlett's is a friend of mine" my face reddened instantly and i didn't respond to him. he laughed lightly and i left.

i didn't need to open my phone now since i knew what that woman did. granted she probably did it as soon as i told her chris was there anyway. i rknow they are really close.

i got absolutely abused by this old guy and his kid? grandkid? i honestly didn't know. but he was telling me how pathetic it was that i forgot the lemon on the side of his lemonade. when one we don't even do that anymore and haven't for a year and two i have like 30 other people im serving right now.

so after being a little shaken up i try to continue my night like nothing happened.
which was hard due to my absolute overload of emotions recently.

but anyway. at 1030pm i was allowed to go home. in the car i put my phone in the holder and set up a video snap to send to violet about the whole evan's thing.

when i got home i had a shower and fell asleep right away. my bed was so welcoming after the long day i had.

and i didn't have to get up till 11am tomorrow which was perfect.

me a month ago would take the opportunity to go to the gym have a coffee and do yoga but um. new month new me.
