-Don't you think you've been smoking more lately?- Jisoo said, snatching the cigarette from Rose's cold fingers.

After another working day Rose, Jisoo and Mark decided to go to a restaurant for dinner and relax a little in a pleasant company in the middle of a hard working week. And while Mark is tasting a new Italian cheese, Rose and Jisoo decided to go outside and have a cigarette and cool their heads a bit after drinking wine.

It's been a few days since Rose and Jennie spent one of the best days together in each other's company, and subsequently Clare's. Of course, that day had changed a lot for each: Rose had fully realized her feelings, and Jennie had learned a new side of the girl, accepting her with all that it entailed. For the blonde, the conversation about her father was important, and she does not regret that she opened up to Jennie, however, despite the importance of that moment, Rose involuntarily strengthened the bond between them, which will be difficult to break when parting.

Now the situation is as follows: Rose is in love with Jennie and has no idea how strong Kim's feelings for her are, and their still on-the-job relationship is adding fuel to the fire. But that's the least of the problems now, and the most important one remains the same - Rose is leaving. At least for three months, and while she does not allow the thought of refusing a good year contract in a large company. Jennie is staying here, having also signed a long term contract. They will be separated by a distance of more than three thousand kilometers. Long distance relationships sometimes even for couples who have been together for years end in one, and for couples who haven't even started anything yet, not even close. Now there is only one end in sight: a painful parting for both of them.

What to do, Rose is completely clueless. She realizes that she needs to leave things as they are and not let anything more happen. It'll be easier that way. She's able to endure another month and a half with Jennie and not cross the line after which things can only get more complicated. That's realistic, and then she'll leave and with high hopes after a couple months the feelings will fade. It will get easier, but if Rose still allows something more... The girl doesn't even want to think about it. Despite all the sensible thoughts in her head, her heart doesn't want to listen to reason at all.

Every time the girl looks at Jennie or feels her presence near her, when their hands touch and their gazes find each other even in the crowd, everything around freezes and loses sounds. Everything centers on one single image. So much so that for the past few days, Rose has completely started to lose concentration at work. She falls out of the collective conversation more often than not, not even noticing that she has fallen into her thoughts. It has become hard for her to focus on work that requires complex thinking decisions. It takes her a while to adjust herself solely to the work rhythm. Rose doesn't like it, and it's something she's tried her best to avoid at other jobs and here to the last. The consequences of the working relationship are making themselves felt, and the girl should be happy just to see it go soon. It's best not to think about what would happen if she worked here on a permanent basis. Things would be a lot harder.

-I don't sleep well.- Rose chuckled, exhaling a puff of smoke and watching her friend as she took a puff.- So much on my mind that I go to bed late and wake up too early.

It's late afternoon, and the girls are standing near the entrance to the establishment, enjoying the soft winter chill and the slowly falling snow. Rose lowers her head down, watching the small snowflakes sweep the asphalt, and then takes a step back, leaning her back against the brick wall.

-Is it because of Jennie?- Jisoo immediately assumes.

Park smiles faintly as she looks up to the sky and watches the snow swirl beautifully in the gusts of light wind around the yellow lights of the building. At that moment, she feels a kind of peace, despite the music blaring from the restaurant and the bar next door, despite the noisy crowds of people passing by or the endlessly honking cars on the road.
