Two days have passed since the team arrived at Butterfly Estate. Things were chaotic to say the least. There were two main reasons for this. One was Zenitsu, who whined constantly as he refused to take what he thought was a disgusting tasting medicine. The other was Rui who was almost unpredictable when [Y/N] wasn't around. Without her, it seemed like it was only a matter of seconds before he hurt someone. He growled when he had to be alone and chased away anyone who wasn't [Y/N].

It was difficult to fight the Demon Moon's stubborn will. The idea of [Y/N] sleeping in the same room as him was floated, but the other three boys were extremely protesting against it. They didn't want her to be apart from them, moreover, they worried for her, even knowing that she was the only person that Rui would not harm. Because of this, they had to come up with a new idea, which eventually led them to their current situation.

Rui was in the team's room when it wasn't evening. At least he was there most of the day. The room had to be darkened many times because of this, but luckily the demon sometimes, when he wasn't feeling stubborn, was content to stay in his box next to [Y/N]'s bed and hear her sounds.

Although [Y/N] had handled it well so far, the same could not be said for the other three boy. It had only been two days, but there were already problems. Surprisingly, Inosuke was the most tolerable. He wasn't happy that Rui was there either, but since he was exhausted and his vocal cords hadn't recovered yet, he couldn't really deal with him for now.

Tanjiro tried to be as friendly as possible with the demon, but all his attempts failed. He received grunts and soft threats whenever he even glanced at him for a moment. Even so, he handled the situation relatively well, as he had a demon sister of his own who was also a frequent visitor in the past few days. Although this also sometimes led to conflicts with Rui, since when the Demon Moon was outside of his box, it was impossible to leave Nezuko in the same atmosphere with him. Surprisingly, however, she was the least hostile of the group towards Rui, which was perhaps due to her demonic nature.

And finally, there was Zenitsu, who caused the real trouble. He screamed not only because of his medicine, but also because of Rui. Anytime he was outside of his box, he would start screaming loudly and go berserk, then seek refuge behind Tanjiro and [Y/N]. The demon didn't take well to him either, as whenever he screamed, it almost looked like he might pounce on him at any second to tear him apart.

Perhaps Aoi was still the only one who was able to put things in order when things went wrong. She usually yelled at Zenitsu for his loudness and medicine, and always scolded Rui for causing this disturbance. She also raved about how often he was out of his box. According to her, it was better if he spent most of the day there, as it would give the team, herself and the other patients more peace of mind. After all, the patients on the estate were under the impression that a high-ranking demon resided there, which rightfully instilled fear in them. Her scoldings also proved to be somewhat effective, as the demon sometimes growled at her, but then went back into his box. Until Aoi left, of course.
