Two days. Two days have passed since the fateful and memorable battle with the Upper Moon Three.

Two days doesn't seem like much, but sometimes those few hours seem like an eternity. Ever since they returned from their mission, the team found themselves within the protective walls of the Butterfly Estate. As the sun rose, the news of what had happened spread quickly, so a group of kakushi arrived at the scene of the fight as soon as possible to treat the injured Hashira and the girl who was in even worse pain than he was.

The team hasn't been the same since that day. The image of her lying motionless in Tanjiro's arms, almost breathless, burned into their minds. The smile she wore when she closed her eyes didn't feel reassuring for once. It was like a confirmation. It was as if she had accepted the fate galloping towards her, which was just waiting to be embraced in its arms. She should have filled them with reassurance, yet she filled them with fear.

Such a beautiful sight does not deserve to be wrapped in the image of such an ugly faith.

The residents of the Butterfly Estate were not themselves either. When they were confronted with the news and were able to see her with their own eyes, it was like a knife being thrust into them. The three youngest residents were unable to hold back their tears upon hearing the news. Their poor hearts couldn't process that what they were hearing was the cruel reality for which they could never be truly prepared.

When Tanjiro looked at them, he felt his soul begin to crack again. He was close to breaking point, but he wouldn't let it tip over the edge. He had to be strong. He wanted to be strong for her. He wanted to be there for her every moment while she got better.

Unusually, Shinobu didn't look at all like she wanted to maintain a well-founded appearance that she was fine. As soon as the girl's body was brought to her estate, she immediately set to work. There was no time to reassure others or give false hope. She focused all her strength on saving her life. She was in an extremely terrible condition and she could tell by just looking at her that she was almost on the edge of life and death.

She spent countless hours trying to stabilize her condition. Surgeries and medical procedures took a lot of time, but she couldn't care less. Her only goal was to save her. She didn't want to lose her. How would she be able to look others in the eye if she fails? How would she be able to look at her own reflection if things became irreversible?

After countless hours, she was brought to a stable condition. Not once did she open her eyes or move a part of her body that would give her hope that she was fine, don't worry. The only thing that indicated she was there was the faint pounding of her heart and the almost inaudible tiny breaths.
