The team's new mission took them to a train station. The road to get there wasn't exactly the most peaceful. Rui, who was in a particularly grumpy mood, scratched the inside of his box a lot, which was a sign that he wanted to come out. Unfortunately, the sun was still high in the sky, so he couldn't do that. This only made his annoyance worse.
Zenitsu voiced his irritation about this in a firm manner. He hated hearing his voices, and he didn't like the fact that whenever he spoke, the scratching only got louder. This only made matters worse for Nezuko, who, as soon as she heard the sounds, treated them as a threat and tried to escape from her box to remove the grumpy Lower Moon from [Y/N].
Fortunately, things calmed down by the time they reached the train station. The sun was already setting, so the mood of the two demons was more of a mixture of impatience and excitement.
The four demon slayers walked into the station, where they were greeted by a really large steam locomotive. The name 'Mugen' was written on the front.
A locomotive in itself shouldn't have been too surprising, but to Inosuke it was something completely out of the ordinary. He had never seen a locomotive before, so he had no idea what this contraption could be.
"Hey! Hey! Hey!" he exclaimed as he began to sweat under his mask and the train blew its whistle loudly. "What... Wh-What is... What kind of creature is this?!" he exclaimed as his sweating increased. "I bet this is it! The master of this land! The lord of this land!" His body was shaking a little, but that didn't stop him from running past the train and getting a better look.
"See how long it is? How scary it is? No doubt about it! It looks like it's sleeping, but be careful!" he growled to his companions as he ran past them and continued to watch the train. Zenitsu looked a little dead next to him, Tanjiro was surprised and confused, while [Y/N] watched the people around them with an awkward smile, who were giving them strange looks, but most of all at Inosuke, since none of them understood the reason for his strange behavior.
"No need, it's just a steam locomotive. Haven't you seen one yet?" Zenitsu grumbled boredly as he looked at Inosuke's trembling figure. He really didn't think this boy would be able to surprise anyone with anything after what he had shown himself to be. He had to admit that he was wrong. Inosuke definitely knew how to surprise him time and time again, not to mention in the most ridiculous ways possible. To look at a locomotive like that and treat it like a living being? It was truly ridiculous to him. True, Inosuke had grown up in the mountains, but he thought that even a wild boy like him would be able to tell the difference between a vehicle and an animal or a human. Well, he was wrong about that too.
