The days passed quickly, which meant that it was another day when [Y/N] would visit another Hashira. She probably had no idea how desperately Obanai was waiting for her arrival. His excitement probably only increased with each passing minute, which he tried to hide behind a tough and stoic mask, which he was able to hide mainly by doing his training even harder than he had to. It also helped that Tanjiro was finally there, from whom he wanted to deduce the true meaning of the training as best he could.
During the week, [Y/N] had indeed had a successful training of her own. She finally found her own demon slayers good enough to send to the next Hashira, although the reactions to this were quite variable. Most of the slayers didn't want to leave, knowing that no matter which Hashira they went to, it wouldn't be pleasant. They wouldn't be treated as kindly and hospitable as she did it. They were replaced by a new group, whose faces made the slayers jealous that they would be treated gently this time, even if their training had made up for it with their toughness.
The way she was heading towards Obanai's estate was perhaps much faster than [Y/N] thought. Or maybe it was because she was subconsciously going faster than her average pace, as Obanai had asked her to come as soon as possible in his earlier letter, albeit covertly. And she didn't want to keep him waiting, so she made sure to keep a fast pace.
The crow had been sitting on her shoulder the entire way, this time seemingly unwilling to fly. But maybe it was also because she knew that Tanjiro was also on the estate, which meant that his crow was too. So she wanted to take every opportunity to bask in the comfort and love of her owner before that other crow intervened or she had to deal with his own constant actions.
Arriving at the estate, she was greeted by a surprising calm. She didn't see any slayers in the garden at all. Although she wasn't too surprised by this, since she remembered Obanai telling her what a training session looked like earlier. She assumed that they were somewhere inside the house, so without hesitation she walked further into the estate and listened carefully, in case she heard any sounds that would tell her exactly where they were.
As she walked further inside, the sound of swords clashing became audible, so she easily walked in the direction of the sounds. This time the crow flew off her shoulder, then flew to the roof of the house and watched curiously as her owner reached the door, then slowly pulled it open.
Opening that door, she was greeted by a shocking sight. There were a multitude of demon slayers tied to wooden posts, and in the middle stood Tanjiro, a wooden sword in his hand. Obanai was standing not far from him, also holding a wooden sword in his hand. Perhaps she shouldn't have been so surprised, since she already knew that such a sight would greet her, but seeing it in reality was still completely different from imagining it in her mind.
