Three long days had passed since the events in the swordsmith village. The news of the defeat of the two Upper Moons had quickly spread throughout the Demon Slayer Corps. Two more high-ranking demons had been eliminated from the list of dangerous enemies, which was glorious news for the corps. It had been a long time since the last time that the future of the demon slayers had been as bright as it had been in a long time.

[Y/N] felt that her body was still exhausted from the strain and stress she had unfortunately endured in those few days. When she and Tanjiro had gone to that village, she had certainly not thought that this would be the end of it. She had thought that the village must have been one of the safest outside of the Hashiras or Kagaya's own estate, but she had clearly been wrong. But it was a relief that the destruction of the village had not been as much of a worry as she had thought. There had been a lot of preparation for such cases, so there were several villages available where swordsmiths could settle down and continue their valuable work.

True, her body was exhausted, but it was in much better condition than after the events of the Red Light District or the Mugen Train. This time, she had not sustained injuries that were deep and serious enough to put her in a coma for several weeks. However, due to her body's exhaustion, she still fell into a deep sleep for three days. Unlike her, Tanjiro or Genya had not woken up yet. It seemed that their bodies needed a little more time to return to normal.

She had only just woken up, only a few hours ago. The three smallest butterfly girls were practically crowding around her bed at that time, so that they could get as close as possible, they could talk to her and hug her tightly. However, their adorable action was put to an end by Aoi, who told them to let the girl rest and only then bombard her with questions or any kind of affection.

In the few hours that [Y/N] was awake, she hadn't really focused on resting. Her mind was constantly spinning about what had happened, but mostly about Nezuko and her case. It was inexplicable, but in a good way. It was completely surprising, completely unpredictable, when she saw her walking in the sun. An incomprehensible sight. Yet, the way the sunlight shone on her body after so long, the way it brought out the vibrancy of the pink color of her eyes, it was simply beautiful.

The thought always made her smile. No matter how many times she thought about it, all she could think about afterwards was how much she wanted to see her. She wasn't sure where she was at the time, but she assumed that with this new ability, she needed even more protection and attention than before, so she wouldn't be surprised if she was in an extremely secure part of the house, or even with one of the many girls somewhere on the estate.

A sigh left her lips as she leaned back against the comfortable pillow. Until now, her thoughts had been too preoccupied to appreciate and cherish something as simple as the comfort of the pillow. After all the hard fighting and trials, the feel of the pillow's cover and softness was a treasure she hadn't known how desperately she needed.
