For Inosuke, waking up from a coma that had lasted more than a month was almost nothing. It was as if it had never happened, as if a month hadn't passed in his life in which he had done nothing but lie unconscious on a bed, completely motionless.

It really didn't matter to him. He couldn't even care that his injuries were some of the most serious, having been stabbed almost in the heart, his body was poisoned, which was only removed from him thanks to Nezuko. And even with all of that, he was able to wake up and almost go crazy, as if it had only been a few hours of sleep.

However, as much as the boy seemed to not care about the whole coma, he was actually very aware that he was in this state. Well, maybe he didn't know that he had fallen into a coma, since in his eyes it was just an extremely long, seemingly eternal dream. It was a dream he wanted to keep more than anything else.

He was usually the center of his dreams. But now, in that endless dream, he wasn't the only one on whom the focus was. If anything, it was as if he had become a side character in his own dream, at best an important or main supporting character. A girl had taken his place. A girl he had only known for a few months, but who had already become a part of his life, and with it his dreams, a part he wanted to keep in front of him at all times.

He was the king of his dreams, the ruler. Someone before whom everyone knelt, bowed, and he happily helped those who needed his power or showed them his extraordinary strength. But then in his dreams he was no longer the only one who occupied this important, spectacular place. He was not alone. There were two of them now. There were two, just like in a kingdom or any ruling power. He was the king of his dreams, but then he finally had a queen. His dreams finally had a queen and with it, so did he.

A king needed a queen. Without a queen, there was no a king, and he had understood that for some time now.

The center of his dreams was always [Y/N]. She shone like the queen she was, like the light that illuminated his world. She was a light that made him believe, even in his dreams, that he was in reality. And he believed it. Maybe his subconscious knew, but he didn't want to acknowledge it. He lived in the present moment, not in the past or the mysteries of the future. And his present was the girl who filled him with such a great feeling. She filled his mind and his entire being with feelings that made him want to find acorns for her every single day, to be by her side every single day, to protect her from any possible danger, and to show her every single day that he was someone who was strong, someone she could count on, someone who could not be deterred.

The basis of all his dreams was the same. There were the two of them. There was him, who gave her boundless protection, who tried to impress her more and more every single day. And there was [Y/N], who cheered him on every time, who acknowledged him every time and treated him with such love at every moment. That kind of love was familiar to him in a way, but he never knew why or what it meant. He didn't understand its meaning, he didn't know the reason for its origin. That feeling simply burned within him. But he was sure that no matter how much he could parallel it with that feeling of seemingly unknown origin, the two were not the same. They were the same in their basics, but their meanings differed.
