Chapter 12: Million Yuan

 

 

Lisa stood in front of the glittering counter in a daze for a while. Then, she saw a young man who was about 25 years old and looked very respectable walking towards her.

As he walked over, the young man smiled and greeted her, “Hello, I’m the owner of this shop. I am Mr. Qin.”

The owner of the largest jewellery shop in the city was actually so young?

She thought that he would be older. She paused for a moment and replied with a smile, “Hello, Mr. Qin.”

The young boss walked over quickly and took the silk gloves handed over to him by the lady at the counter. He put them on quickly and carefully picked up the Jade bracelet in the box, looking at it carefully under the light.

Taehyung  flipped the Jade bracelet and turned it around. In an extremely hidden place on the inside, he indeed found a signature unique to the Qin family. His eyes immediately darkened.

Usually, he would not involve himself in the business of pawning jade. A mere few hundred thousand was nothing to him.

However, the sharp-eyed lady at the counter today recognized at a glance that the craftsmanship of this Jade bracelet was that of the style of the Qin family. Moreover, the color was very similar to the one that had recently been given away to a distinguished guest. That was why she had specially invited him over to confirm that it was the same Jade bracelet.

Taehyung  easily recognized this Jade bracelet. Just a few days ago, it was he who had picked out this unique Jade bracelet that was not too expensive but still obviously had a high value. He gave it to his good friend, Jeon Jungkook.

He did not expect that this jade bracelet would be sent back to him a few days later and pawned.

“This bracelet is not common. I quite like it. May I ask, where did you get it from?” Taehyung  held the bracelet and seemed to be unable to put it down. He raised his head and asked.

“Uh, it’s passed down from my husband’s family.” Lisa answered with a little guilt.

When Jungkook gave her the bracelet, he did not tell her the origin of the bracelet, so she could only make wild guesses.

Husband? Could it be that the woman in front of him was his good friend Jeon Jungkook’s new wife?

Raising his eyebrows, Taehyung  continued to smile without batting an eyelid, “Yes, the quality of your bracelet is excellent. May I know how much you would like for it?”

He didn’t expect Jungkook’s bracelet to gain the high recognition of the boss of the jewellery store. Lisa was stunned and thought of her mother in the hospital bed as she gritted her teeth.

Could this bracelet be worth 500,000 yuan to pay for her mother’s medical fees?

“I... It’s hard to say. Mr. Qin, how much would you give me for it?” Lisa tightly squeezed her sleeve, feeling uneasy.

Sighing in his heart, Taehyung  put down the bracelet, stretched out his two index fingers, and crossed them to make a figure.

Since Jeon Jungkook’s wife had chosen to sell the bracelet given by her husband, he might as well take advantage of the situation to do Jeon Jungkook a favor and help him see her true colors.

“100,000 yuan?” Lisa looked at Taehyung ’s gesture and was a little absent-minded.

“No.” Taehyung  shook his head, and a meaningful smile appeared on his face as he said, “One million yuan.”

This bracelet was actually so expensive that it was worth one million?

Lisa was so shocked that she took a step back. She knew that this bracelet given to her by Jungkook was valuable, but she did not expect it to be worth this much.

That would mean that the bracelet definitely had extraordinary significance to Jungkook who was as poor as a pauper!

“What? Miss, do you think it’s too little?” Taehyung  looked at Lisa’s shocked expression and could not help but have a disgusted look on his face.

He had already offered a high price of one million, yet this woman was still not satisfied and wanted more money. She was really too arrogant and vain!

“No, no.” Lisa quickly shook her head. Her chest rose and fell, and she bit her lips.

Since Jungkook had given her the most precious thing in his family, then she definitely could not betray his trust and pawn it.

“I sincerely want this bracelet. How about this, 1.5 million yuan.” Taehyung  rested his hands on the counter and looked at Lisa.

As soon as the deal was done, he was going to call Jeon Jungkook immediately and ask him to kick this greedy woman out of his life!

“No, I’m not selling it anymore. Sorry.” Lisa’s eyes became firm. She took a step forward and quickly put away the wooden box. Then, she glanced at Taehyung  again and left quickly.

Looking at Lisa’s slender figure leaving, Taehyung  could not help but be a little absent-minded.

What was going on? Didn’t this woman want to exchange the bracelet for money? Why did she suddenly change her mind?

Taehyung  was confused, but he still took out his phone and dialled Jeon Jungkook’s number. He said casually, “Hello? Little Four, guess who I just met?”

Jungkook was holding a dumbbell in one hand and his phone in the other, his head full of blank lines.

Jeon Jungkook was his real identity, and he was ranked fourth. So, Taehyung  liked to call him Little four.

Jungkook coughed lightly. “Taehyung , don’t call me Little Four. If you have something to say, say it quickly.”

“Okay, okay. Fourth Master Jeon, I just saw your wife.” Taehyung  laughed.
