Jungkook did not answer Yeonjun’s question. Instead, he asked, “How did you know that I would fall for it?”

Yeonjun did not want to admit it at first, but Jungkook’s gaze was too sharp. He could only reluctantly say, “I thought that you liked spicy dishes and that you would eat the fried eggs with green peppers first.”

These words made Jungkook chuckle. “Even your sister hasn’t noticed.”

“Ah?” Yeonjun was surprised.

Jungkook recalled that when he was young, he was told by his family not to show anything that he particularly liked or disliked. Because he was still young at that time, he could not completely hide his emotions, it was not until he got food poisoning that he learned his lesson.

“How did you realize?” Jungkook asked.

Yeonjun scratched his head and said embarrassedly, “It was when you ate a lot of the boiled fish. Only then did I feel that you might like to eat spicy dishes.”

“Just by relying on this?”

“Yes, when you eat other things, the frequency of you picking up each dish is basically the same.”

Jungkook slightly narrowed his eyes. He had a new understanding of Yeonjun’s observation ability.
“Indeed, I’m not Jungkook, but I’m your brother-in-law.”

Yeonjun was stunned for a second at Jungkook’s answer. Then, he understood that he was answering the previous question.

After a long silence, Yeonjun spoke again, “I don’t know your identity and intention, but please don’t hurt my sister.”

Jungkook replied without hesitation, “Okay.”

From the things that Jungkook had given both Yeonjun and his sister, Yeonjun could roughly guess that Jungkook’s real identity was either rich or noble.

It seemed unlikely that Jungkook was here for Lisa on purpose.

Although the two of them were close, it was very likely that they hadn’t gone too far yet. This made Yeonjun feel much more at ease.

“Brother-in-law, I have something to ask you.”

Jungkook changed into his usual calm expression. He felt that Yeonjun was trying to communicate with him as the brother of his wife.

“Tell me.”

“If one day you reveal your true identity, will you abandon my sister?” As Yeonjun spoke, he pushed the watch that Jungkook gave him back.

Jungkook glanced at the box and raised his head to look at Yeonjun.

Although he had some thoughts of bringing Lisa back to the Jeon family, he was not sure yet, so he could not give Yeonjun an answer.

Seeing that Jungkook still did not answer, Yeonjun did not force him, he continued, “Brother-in-law, I can see that my sister likes you very much. I hope that you won’t make her sad. If you two are in a normal relationship, then I will give you my blessing. However, a relationship built on liars and lies will not last long.”

Yeonjun paused and finished his sentence, “A hundred lies are needed to cover the first lie, and they will all be exposed one day. Actually, I hope that you can become my real brother-in-law.”

Yeonjun was really vulnerable and honest.
Jungkook did not know when Yeonjun had noticed that he and Lisa were hiding things from each other. He also did not know how Yeonjun had discovered that he and Lisa had not gone too far yet, and he had vaguely reminded him not to get too close to Lisa when his identity was still hidden.

‘Such a sharp little brat.’ Jungkook thought to himself.

“Kind man shouldn’t say falsehood, smart people should not lie.”

Although Jungkook could not tell if hiding his identity was a white lie, this lie had allowed him to meet Lisa. No matter how things developed, this memory was still beautiful.

“Liar.” Yeonjun muttered in a low voice.

Jungkook did not take Yeonjun’s words seriously. He did not need outsiders to tell him what to do with Lisa.

He threw the wristwatch to Yeonjun again and said, “It’s up to you whether you want to wear it or not.” This meant that he would not accept the return of what he had given him.

The next day, Yeonjun left the two’s house according to the decision he had made.

Before he left, Yeonjun had repeatedly reminded Lisa. Hearing this, Jungkook wanted to shut this kid’s mouth. If it wasn’t for the fact that the two of them had a tacit understanding that they wouldn’t mention what happened last night, Yeonjun might have said that Jungkook was an extremely dangerous person.

The two of them sent Yeonjun to the school gate. As they watched the young man’s back leaving into the distance, Lisa was still very worried.

Even though Yeonjun said that he would handle it himself, he never told Lisa what he wanted to do. He only told her to wait for the result.

Rubbing her temples, Lisa felt a slight headache. She wanted to meet those little bullies who bullied her little brother, but her busy work and Krystal’s ‘sniping’ made her unable to be in two places at once.

After sending Yeonjun off, Lisa took a taxi to rush to the company

For the sake of her little brother’s safety, Lisa could only make another request to Jungkook. “Jungkook, can you help me visit Yeonjun more during this period of time? I’m still worried.”

Jungkook chuckled and replied, “Okay.”

Although Yeonjun took the watch, he did not wear it him. This made Jungkook curious as to how Yeonjun was going to deal with those who bullied him.
