Chapter 108: Banquet

 

Lisa and Jennie had spent three days at the site to gather all the necessary information, and Soyeon had also made some progress.

Soyeon held back her anger. She vowed to sign this contract, so when she redid the document, she was exceptionally careful and even found more information that they didn’t put in their previous document.

On the morning of the fourth day, when Lisa got up, Soyeon suddenly handed her something. Lisa opened it and saw that it was an invitation letter for Lin Group’s banquet.

Without waiting for Lisa to speak, Soyeon explained, “It’s from CEO Song, but I think you are more suitable than me to go.”

“Banquet?”

Lisa was puzzled. What was the purpose of this banquet?

“Tonight is Lin Group’s anniversary banquet,” Soyeon said.

Lisa thought for a moment and said, “Only one invitation letter? Since CEO Song gave you the invitation letter, she probably thinks that you are more suitable to go.”

For a big company like Lin Group, only people with a certain status could get an invitation. If they were lucky enough to earn the favor of a big shot, their career path would be paved. This was also the reason why many small celebrities rack their brains trying to get into banquets like this.

Hearing Lisa’s words, Soyeon shook her head. “From what I’ve seen, I’m very sure that you are more suitable to go.”

Seeing Soyeon praising her, Lisa couldn’t help but smile.

However, Lisa was still conflicted.

Soyeon was more experienced than her and had seen more of the market. She would definitely be able to collect more information if she were to attend Lin Group’s anniversary banquet. This was also the reason why CEO Song wanted Soyeon to go.

What really happened was that Dara had assumed that Taehyung  would give Lisa an invitation. That was the reason why she only gave Soyeon an invitation.

As for Jennie, Dara did not bother.

“Sister Xu, you have a good memory and you are more experienced. I think it’s better if you go. Sigh! If only there were two more, then the three of us can go together.”

Soyeon saw that Lisa insisted, so she didn’t say anything more.

During breakfast, Lisa asked Soyeon if she wanted to go look for an evening gown after they were done. If they waited until the afternoon to prepare, Soyeon might not be able to make it in time.

Jennie asked curiously at the side about the evening gown. Lisa replied that Lin Group would be holding an anniversary party tonight, and sister Xu would be attending, so she had to get an evening gown.

“Wow! An anniversary party! I haven’t been to one before! I’m so envious! Sister Xu is going to look so pretty!” Jennie exclaimed exaggeratedly, which made Lisa laugh.

Soyeon, who was sitting across from Jennie and had been paying attention to her, did not ignore the flash of jealousy in her eyes..

“Although we can’t go this time, there will be opportunities in the future!” Lisa stroked Jennie’s head and said with a smile.

When Lisa and Jennie went shopping on the first day, they saw a lot of makeup studios. These makeup stores all had collaborations with clothing stores.

Just as Lisa had expected, after the three of them expressed their needs, the shop assistant brought them to the fitting area. Because they were going to attend a banquet, they looked at high-end brands.

The rental prices were ridiculously expensive. Fortunately, Sister Xu said that CEO Song had given them sufficient funds, which made Lisa feel at ease.
