After the two of them left, Lisa pushed the door open and walked out. The woman ignored her and turned on the tap to wash her hands.

Lisa secretly glanced at the woman a few times. She wanted to say something but didn't know how to start.

While she was hesitating, the woman had already dried her hands and was ready to go back to work.

"Wait." Lisa decided to talk and ask the woman to stay.

The woman turned her head. Her delicate face, which was wearing gold-rimmed glasses, was expressionless.

"Just now, thank you for speaking up for me." Lisa's cheeks were flushed, and her eyes were sparkling as she looked at the woman.

The woman's eyes moved, she said, "Actually, you could have not fought back the last time. There is a surveillance camera in the upper left corner recording her hitting you. You could have insisted that she hit you very hard at that time, which gave you a headache, and ask her to take you for a check-up. The company has a rule that employees are not allowed to get physical during working hours. If it's a two-way fight, both parties will bear the corresponding responsibility. If Krystal didn't want to make a big deal out of the matter and get deducted of three months' salary and her year-end bonus, she would have agreed to any request you made. This way, you wouldn't have to bear any responsibility and you could also make her unhappy."

Lisa was stunned by the woman's words. It was as if she was listening to her guardian angel. After a moment of silence, she carefully said, "Why are you helping me? After hearing the rumours in the company, don't you hate me? Don't you want to stay away from me?" The woman lowered her eyelashes and slowly explained, "I accidentally overheard your conversation with your friend."

"Conversation?" Lisa was puzzled.

"You talked to your friend about your views on your husband. I think you're a good person." After saying that, the woman did not give Lisa a chance to reply and turned around to leave.

She recalled her conversation with Jisoo. It seemed to be the time when she was talking to her about Jungkook when he was buying a suit. She was actually overheard by someone? Lisa's face turned even redder.

With this interlude, Lisa's mood improved. She did not pay much attention to her colleagues' pointing fingers. There were many women in the sales department. There were also many who liked to gossip. If she let what they say affect her, she would probably be angered to death! Rather than gossipy people, she cared more about who the person who helped her was.

When it was lunchtime, Lisa could not wait to find Jisoo. When she saw Jisoo looking at her worriedly, she could tell that she had something to tell her.

Lisa pinched Jisoo's face and joked, "Why are you looking at me like that? Is there a flower on my face?"

Jisoo pushed her hand away. "Don't mess around. You've rubbed off my makeup." Then she sighed. "Are you alright? The rumours in the company are getting out of hand. Are you recovered? I wanted to visit you, but your husband answered the call both times. He said that you were sleeping, so I didn't dare to disturb you."

"I'm fine. I've recovered a long time ago. Jungkook has been taking care of me for the past two days. You see! He's not as unreliable as you say." Lisa smiled until her eyes curved.

Thinking of the two phone calls she had with Jungkook, Jisoo reluctantly nodded her head in agreement with Lisa's words.

"Oh right, Jungkook really beat up Kai until he had to go to the hospital? Didn't he just get discharged?" Jisoo wanted to laugh at the mention of this. She was also annoyed by Kai. not only because of Kai's harassment of Lisa, but also because Kai did not know his own limits. He was always flirting with women, causing the shrew Krystal to go crazy every day. They had even caused trouble in the administrative department twice.

Lisa sighed and nodded. She did not know what kind of trouble Kai was going to cause after he was discharged from the hospital.

"Lisa, could it be that the last time Kai was beaten up was also by Jungkook?"Jisoo looked at Lisa suspiciously.

She had no objections to the matter of Jungkook beating up Kai. Not only did she have no objections, she even wanted to give him a thumbs up. She wouldn't mind if Jungkook beat him up a few more times.

Upon hearing Jisoo's question, Lisa shook her head like a rattle-drum. That was Taehyung beating up Kai, not Jungkook. One time was enough. She did not want Jungkook to be blamed twice.

However, with Jisoo's reminder, Lisa thought that she should report this matter to CEO Song. She had to set the record straight. She still needed this job. Food, clothes, expenses, and the rent of the house were all dependent on her. What if she was really fired because of these groundless slanders?

"Alright!" Jisoo was a little disappointed, then, she said to Lisa, "Don't take those gossipy women's words seriously. They are jealous of you because they saw you get the contract signed so quickly. A bunch of bored little bastards. I wish I could just beat them all up."

Her good friend's indignant look made Lisa cover her mouth and laugh softly. "My beautiful Jisoo, if you continue to curse like that, your ladylike image will be gone."

Jisoo glared at her. "You little heartless brat, I'm standing up for you."

"Yes, yes, yes. My beautiful Jisoo takes the best care of me." Lisa pouted and then took out a small object from her bag.
