Jungkook tucked Lisa’s hair behind her ear and said in a gentle voice, “How can I bear to do that?”
Lisa’s heart was trembling from his words of love, “My parents had that kind of past. My identity and my brother’s are still unknown. Mo Dong even chased us out. Do you really not mind?”
“I married you, not your family.” Jungkook replied with a chuckle and said, “Leaving the Mo family is a good thing. If you guys are still tied to the Mo family, I’ll have a headache facing that kind of sister-in-law and father-in-law.”
Seeing Jungkook pretending to be troubled, Lisa could not hold back her smile and tapped his forehead.
“Congratulations, young master Luo, for escaping the clutches of your father-in-law and sister-in-law.”
The way he addressed Lisa reminded them both of the night they went to Allison Music Restaurant for dinner. One knew Lisa’s identity and deliberately probed her, while the other had no choice but to pretend to be rich.
The two of them looked at each other and smiled. Although Lisa did not know what Jungkook was thinking, it did not stop her from feeling amused by her embarrassment.
“Call Yeonjun. Let’s eat out tonight.” Jungkook smiled at Lisa.
Lisa nodded and walked to Yeonjun’s room.
“Cheng, have you packed your things?”
Lisa knocked on the door a few times, but there was no sound inside. After a while, the door was opened.
Looking at Yeonjun, whose eyes were red but pretended to be fine, Lisa did not expose him. She smiled at Yeonjun and said, “Let’s talk?”
Yeonjun lowered his eyes and nodded. “Yes.”
“Sister, is what that woman said true?” Yeonjun sat by the bed and asked in a low voice.
Lisa shook her head. “I don’t know.”
Hearing Lisa’s answer, Yeonjun raised his head in confusion. “Sis, you don’t know either?”
“Yes, I don’t know what happened back then. I have to ask Mom.”
Yeonjun fell silent again. He didn’t know how to ask his mother.
“Cheng, no matter what happened back then, she is still our mother. There’s no point in thinking about it.”
“Sister, you don’t understand,” Yeonjun said in pain.
“I used to think that I could get rid of the label of illegitimate child, but...”
Lisa stepped forward and hugged Yeonjun. She did not know how to comfort her younger brother.
“Eunbi often lies. Maybe what she said is not the truth. We’ll see after we ask Mom.”
Seeing Yeonjun like this, Lisa could only stall for time. She could not let Eunbi ruin Cheng with just a few words.

Yeonjun acknowledged and temporarily believed Lisa’s words. Then, he asked, “Sister, what was the meaning of the conversation between her and brother-in-law afterward? What substitute marriage?”
Although it was a question, thinking back to when their Mom’s surgery’s fee was paid just when Lisa got married, the answer was obvious.
Seeing that she couldn’t hide it, Lisa told him everything.
Yeonjun frowned and asked, “Sister, now that everything has been exposed, what are you going to do? Are you still going to be with brother-in-law?”
“Yes, of course.” Lisa smiled lightly. Her smile was full of happiness.
“Although I first married him for other reasons, I realized a long time ago that I liked him. Marrying him was the best choice I made.”
Looking at Lisa whose eyes were shining when she mentioned Jungkook , Yeonjun wanted to say something but stopped himself.
“What’s wrong?” Lisa asked.
Yeonjun shook his head. Since Lisa liked him, he shouldn’t talk about his guess. Let them go with the flow! Moreover, he did not know when Lisa made her decision, so he should not add to Lisa’s worries in the future.
After sorting out his emotions, Yeonjun pulled out a smile. “I hope that you will always be happy. Of course, if the two of you are separated one day, I will stand by your side and support your.”
Lisa bent her finger and gently knocked on Yeonjun’s forehead. Lisa scolded him with a smile. “Sseparated? What? You don’t want me and your brother-in-law to live a good life?”
“That’s not it!” Yeonjun held his forehead in an exaggerated manner, as if Lisa had hit him so hard that it hurt.
“Hmph! Once you got a husband, you forget about your younger brother.”
Lisa raised her knuckles, as if she wanted to knock on Yeonjun again. Yeonjun cooperated and retreated a little, pretending to be afraid.
Lisa was so amused by Yeonjun’s acting that she could not stop smiling. She said, “Thank you for your concern, but your brother-in-law and I will be fine.”
Yeonjun pouted, and suddenly a rumbling sound came from his stomach.
