“Yes, but this is...” Lisa saw her colleagues gathered around and answered Krystal’s question, trying to explain.

She was indeed the one who had made this plan, but she did it according to Krystal’s instructions. Krystal even watched her finish writing the plan word by word before leaving!

“You know that referencing other clients is a big taboo in the industry! Why did you include this into the proposal? Are you planning to get everyone fired? What a cunning idiot!” Krystal pointed at her nose and scolded loudly.

“You were the one who told me to do the proposal this way. You abused your position as a supervisor and didn’t allow me to change a single word. Shouldn’t the one with ulterior motives be you?” Seeing that she was being slandered as “wanting to harm everyone”, Lisa was anxious and retorted loudly.

“Ha, you’re quick to make up excuses.” Krystal sneered. Her eyes were filled with the satisfaction of having succeeded in her evil scheme. She flipped to the last page of the document, she pointed and said, “Look here. This is your own name. You still want to shift the blame onto me?”

“Exactly. The person who wrote this proposal is you, Lisa. How can you blame other people?” A colleague who usually liked to please Krystal said.

Lisa lowered her head and looked at her signature. She knew that she had fallen into Krystal’s trap. She had been tricked. No matter what she said, no one would believe her.

“Krystal, if you dislike me so much, just fire me! Why do you have do something like this!” Lisa said through gritted teeth. She was heaving with anger because she had been tricked.

“Hmph, why do I have to waste my energy on a small fry like you?”

Krystal sneered, looked around at her colleagues, and said with ill intentions, “Because of you, the company just lost an order worth at least a million dollars. Just wait and see. You will have to deal with the consequences soon.”

After Krystal walked out of the meeting room with her head held high, her colleagues, who were so scared that they did not dare to make a sound, gathered around her. Lisa had always treated her colleagues kindly. They all had a good impression of her. Hence, they all came to comfort her.

Rosé put her arm around Lisa’s shoulder and tried to persuade her, “Lisa, Supervisor Chen has a bad temper. Don’t go head-to-head with her.”

“That’s right. Everyone makes mistakes. You should apologize first, so she won’t lose her temper with you,” the surrounding colleagues echoed.

Lisa shook her head. They didn’t believe that she was genuinely wronged by Krystal. Krystal deliberately wanted her to embarrass herself in front of everyone.

After leaving the meeting room, Lisa walked alone to a small corner of the company and told her best friend, Jisoo, about this matter.

Although Jisoo was in the same company as her, they were not in the same department. She was in the sales department, while Jisoo was in the administrative department a few floors above.

“Wow, how did you offend that female devil? She is famous in the company for being narrow-minded and liking to bully people.” Jisoo covered her mouth and said in surprise.

“I don’t know,” Lisa answered sullenly. She had been doing well in the company. Last week, she even won the Best Newcomer Award. She even tried her best to avoid her boyfriend, Kai. How exactly did she offend Krystal?

“Sigh, forget it. You must not quarrel with her. She is the niece of the vice president of the company. She got to where she is because of her connections. You can’t afford to offend her!” Jisoo tried to persuade her nervously.

“I’ve already quarrelled with her, and I don’t think she will let me off easily.” Lisa’s face was bitter. She didn’t know what to do.

“Ah? Never mind. Just give in and apologise. She just wants to make you suffer. You just have to bear with it.” Jisoo said.

“Okay.” Lisa hung up the phone aggrievedly.

Krystal’s intention was not as simple as just wanting to make Lisa suffer. That afternoon, Lisa was called to the supervisors’ office. Krystal and Kai were both there.

Krystal sat beside Kai and leaned softly against him as if she was deliberately declaring her ownership of Kai. After Kai read the proposal in question, he coughed lightly and said, “This proposal was written by you. The mistake was also made by you, right?”

Krystal, who was beside him, immediately interjected, “It’s written in black and white here. What’s there for her to quibble about?”

Thus, without waiting for Lisa to explain, Kai tapped the table lightly and ordered, “Alright, then write a public review on Monday.”
