Chapter 74: Don't Lose to Them

 

At night, Lisa arranged for Yeonjun and Jungkook to sleep in the bedroom while she slept on the sofa.

Hearing this arrangement, the veins on Jungkook’s forehead bulged as he turned around to look at Yeonjun.

Yeonjun was invading their privacy as a couple. He took the blanket that Lisa had found for him and flipped over to lie on the bed.

After being married for so long, not only had he not slept with his wife, he even had to face a man while lying on his and his wife’s bed?

Jungkook’s pair of black eyes stared straight at Lisa. Lisa swallowed her saliva under his gaze. She thought about it and stood on her tiptoes to kiss Jungkook on the side of his face.

Although she wanted to sleep with Yeonjun so she could ask about Yeonjun’s condition, Jungkook obviously would not let them sleep together. Since Yeonjun was not well, she could not let Yeonjun sleep on the sofa, so the two of them had to sleep in the bedroom.

“Has my sister left?”

Yeonjun leaned against the headboard of the bed and said to Jungkook’s back.

Jungkook thought that if he could return to the morning, he would definitely beat himself to death for sympathizing with Yeonjun. He never expected that after Yeonjun opened up to him, he would become like a chatterbox.

In the morning, Jungkook and Lisa both got up early. They had dark circles under their eyes.

Lisa said to Yeonjun, “You can study at home during the day or go to the hospital to accompany mother. If you don’t want to go out, just wait for me to get off work at night.”

Yeonjun asked her, “Sister, why didn’t you say this out loud during dinner?”

Lisa found a random reason. “I don’t want Jungkook to know that mother is sick. I want to bear the burden myself and not add to the pressure on him.”

Yeonjun was sceptical of his sister’s words, but seeing the pleading look on his sister’s face, he had no choice but to agree. He sensed that his sister and brother-in-law were not as close as they appeared to be. What was his sister hiding?

Before leaving the house, Jungkook specifically stopped Lisa and personally put the jade bracelet on Lisa’s wrist.

Jungkook pulled Lisa into his arms and planted a light kiss on Lisa’s forehead.

Every time he did something unexpected, Lisa would be moved and look at him with infatuation.

Jungkook caressed Lisa’s flushed cheeks, his gaze gentle.
