*Five years later...*

It was an afternoon of warmth, blooming of flowers, and a spring to remember.

The doors of the mansion opened, and in entered Chan with his three-year-old toddler in his arms.

He went upstairs to the bedroom, finding his husband sitting at the study table with his laptop. His glasses were slipping off the bridge of his nose, documents were stacked on the table and a cup of iced Americano stood abandoned amongst the mess.

"Love, we're home."

Jeongin looked away from his work and smiled upon seeing his husband and son.

"Here are my two favourite soldiers."

Chan didn't seem that happy at the moment, and Jeongin could tell very clearly.

The older man put the little three-year-old down, watching him run to his 'mom'.

Jeongin got down on one knee and held his son in his arms. "Hey, what's wrong, my little muffin?" Jeongin pulled back and looked at Minsoo.

"Some kid at daycare said something really mean, and it made him cry," Chan explained.

"Aww, baby, it's okay. What did he say to you?"

"He said that you don't love me because he never sees you take me to daycare as much as dad does," Minsoo basically mumbled the words. "And then he called me a crybaby."

"The child made fun of him," Chan said.

"Sweetheart, don't listen to him. Whatever he said isn't true. Your dad and I love you so, so, so much, you can't imagine how big our love for you is. I promise, we'll make sure he doesn't say that to you again, or anyone else for that matter. Okay?"

The little boy nodded slowly.

"Don't be sad, kiddo," Chan said, picking up his son. "Come on, let's go get some cookies from the kitchen. They might make you feel better."

They left the room, leaving Jeongin to tend to his work once again.

After dinner, they tucked Minsoo into bed before heading to their own room.

"Did you at least talk to the caretaker?"

"Yeah, she said she would talk to the kid's parents and inform us about anything important."

"We should stop this before it gets worse. I don't like seeing my baby all sad like that."

"Me neither," Chan replied, interlocking their fingers. "But hey, it's going to be alright. Don't worry."

Jeongin sighed, but nodded.

*The next day...*

It was a very lovely day to be out. The sun is shining brightly as the family of three set out on their adventure.

The three-year-old toddler boy, full of energy and curiosity, was bursting with excitement. The parents, beaming with pride and love, were ready to make the most of their special day together.

Excursions were a must in this family of theirs. Due to their busy schedules and work, they just wanted to have a bit of time to manage their family time, because quality time with family was more important than work.

It started off with morning fun.

The day began with a visit to a local children's museum, also known as an indoor play center. The toddler squealed with delight as he explored the interactive exhibits, played with blocks, and climbed through tunnels.

Chan and Jeongin watched with joy, capturing precious moments on camera.

After working up an appetite, they headed to a nearby café for a yummy brunch, complete with pancakes, fruit, and juice.

Next, they headed to a nearby park for some fresh air and outdoor fun. The toddler ran around, playing tag with his parents, and climbing on the jungle gym. The two husbands took turns pushing him on the swings and sliding down the slide together.

They all enjoyed a picnic lunch on a blanket, watching the ducks swim in the nearby pond.

After a morning of playtime, they visited a local petting zoo. The toddler giggled as he fed the goats, pet the rabbits, and watched the chickens peck at the ground. The parents relaxed, enjoying the warm sunshine and each other's company.

As the day wound down, they headed to a nearby ice cream parlor for a sweet treat. The toddler's eyes widened as he chose his favorite flavor, and the parents enjoyed a cone together, savoring the sweet moment.

As the sun began to set, the family headed home, tired but happy. They snuggled up together on the couch, watching a favorite movie.

In the end of it all, the little baby boy yawned.

"Are you tired, baby?"

The boy nodded, rubbing his eyes with a pout.

The two men shared a knowing glance, grateful for the joy and love that their little family brought.

This perfect day out was filled with laughter, adventure, and quality time together. The memories created would be cherished for a lifetime, and the family couldn't wait for their next fun-filled outing!

"Mommy, when is Aunty Hannah coming back?"

"Her world tour is ending on the 28th, so... in two weeks," Jeongin replied as he tucked Minsoo into bed.

"Are you and dad going to smoochie kiss now?"

Jeongin eyes widened. "Why, you cheeky baby. Where did you learn that from?"

The toddler giggled as he covered his head with the blanket. "Goodnight!"

Jeongin shook his head, letting out a sigh. He walked out of the room after switching off the lights and turning on the nightlight.

He went to his room and freshened up, got dressed into his pijamas and went back downstairs.

He found Chan still sitting on the couch, hugging a soft pillow, but his focus was elsewhere other than the TV screen. His head was layed back onto the couch and his eyes were lost.

Jeongin sat next to him. "What are you thinking about?"

"Just about how lucky I am to have you two in my life," Chan tilted his head and looked at Jeongin, "... About how beautiful you are... About how special Minsoo is to me in every aspect of the concept..."

Jeongin felt his heart swell with emotion. Chan was in one of his deep thoughts and existential crisis again.

"I'm the lucky one here."

Chan smiled lightly. "We both are."

Jeongin leaned in to join their lips into a soft kiss, one of promise and forever lasting love and tenderness.

Slow, yet full of passion.

They pulled apart a minute later. They put their foreheads together, closing their eyes and just relishing in the moment.

"I am yours... And you are mine... "

"I love you, Chan..."

"I love you more, Jeongin..."
