Jeongin's POV
It's been a long time since Shi-on has been gone. But this was a good things perhaps. Just being around him made me feel bilious.
Gosh, I was starving. The food he brought looked so good. The honey and chocolate syrup was drizzled all over the pancakes with a cut of butter on top. The smell was devine...
But I couldn't. I couldn't trust whatever he gives me, ever. Him feeding me would be like taking poison directly from the devil's hands.
Just as I was minding my own thoughts, the door opened. A person entered the room. It was a woman, seeming to be around her late thirties.
She began to look in different corners of the room, as if searching for something.
After about two minutes of inspection, she then stood next to the bed. What she did next is what surprised me. She untied my hands and feet.
"The master has asked me to untie you. But, if you try to escape or even think of doing anything of that sort, then he will make sure to punish you personally. I hope you know what that means."
This woman looked very serious. She gave off a scary vibe that sent shivers through my body. Yet, I slowly nodded with fear in my eyes. She then left the room.
That's when another person entered. A younger looking female with long brown hair and a black dress that clinged to her body in all the right places.
Then the figure of a little girl appeared from behind her.
"Suyeon?" I couldn't believe my eyes.
"Go on, dear," the woman told her.
Suyeon immediately leaped forward and came rushing towards me. I wasted no time in taking her into my arms as she buried her face into my chest.
"Suyeonnie? You're here? Are you okay??"
I slightly pulled back from the hug and cupped her cheeks.
"You really love her, don't you?" I looked up to see Jeon Hye-ri smirking at me. I could only see evil intent in her eyes.
I kept quiet, just seeing her walk toward me with slowly deliberate steps. I held the little child closely to my chest, feeling her emotions resonating right through me.
Hye-ri sat a few centimetres away from us.
"She's really sad. She desperately wanted to see you. In fact, she hasn't eaten this morning, so I thought maybe you could feed her instead."
Her voice was laced with mystery.
"I'm pretty sure you already know who I am, so I don't think there's any reason for introductions. I don't want to talk too much anyway. All I want is your co-operation. If you do as you are told, then there won't be any need for us to do anything drastic. I'm not the type to do things without a valid reason. Just remember that Shi-on can get pretty angry and you of all people should know what he can do when he's mad."
I looked away, not wanting to think about that monster of a man .
"Keep in mind that the consequences won't just affect you alone, Jeongin... Think about the child as well. I wouldn't want to harm a kid, but if I'm forced to then... you get the idea." Hye-ri let out a laughing breath. "Just eat. Alright? Shi-on doesn't want you to stay hungry."
Jeon Hye-ri, Taewoo's sister. As if the deceased person wasn't enough while he was here, now his older sister is after me.
That too, blackmailing me by using an innocent child.

*At the Yang mansion...*
Author's POV
The house was quiet. It all seemed normal at times, but right now things were far from being normal.
There was uneasy tension in the atmosphere because of everything that had occurred. This was much more difficult to handle than Mrs Yang had thought.
Chan was at the Yang mansion. He seemed to have some sort of plan with him that would probably take them a step forward into finding a solution.
"So, you really think he can do it?" Mrs Yang raised a brow.
"Trust me, Seungmin is the best when it comes to finding information. He'll be able to hack into whatever might be useful to us, along with Wooyoung."
Chaerin was trying to put her trust in Chan's plan. Yet she just didn't want to risk anything.
Her son was missing and probably being tortured for all she knows.
"This plan of yours better not backfire."
___
Suyeon stuck very close to Jeongin the entire time.
She was slowly eating from her bowl full of strawberries at a snail's pace as Jeongin watched her with blunt eyes.
He could feel Shi-on's gaze pondering upon him. The man had been sitting on the bed silently, just observing the other two from a slight distance. A small smile curved onto his lips while he stared at Jeongin as he ate.
Quite an uncomfortable silence filled the room.
Besides Jeongin, Suyeon was probably the saddest person there. Last time she remembers, she was with the friendly noona her dads had invited, and the next thing she knew they were going on a very long drive to a place she didn't know or even recognise.
Although a nice lady she met (that being Hye-ri) told her that everything was going to be just fine, but she was really upset that she was away from her parents.
Jeongin could feel her sadness so much, he just wished that even if it were possible then maybe this child would be able to leave from this horrible place. He'd be fine if he had to stay, but Suyeon still had a bright future ahead of her. All of this could just be a disturbance and a trauma to her growing life.
Shi-on changed his seating position position and sat with his legs criss crossed. "You two look so adorable when you eat together," he giggled. "Innie, just imagine us having a little one of our own someday. Wouldn't that be amazing?"
Jeongin couldn't possibly imagine that; having Shi-on's baby? Absolutely not!
They both finished eating and sat together, holding each other tightly like they were afraid of whatever was to happen next from this point on.
Soon, the door opened and in walked Hye-ri with her usual steps. A cute smile was what she was aiming for, but it seemed cursed rather than cute.
"Alright, Suyeon. Come on. You're done eating, right? Then you should come with me now. You're uncle and his very close friend need some time alone to talk. So come on."
Suyeon only cuddled more into Jeongin's warmth. She didn't want to leave. Her uncle was particularly the only person she felt like she could trust here.
"C-Can't she stay for just a little bit longer?" Jeongin looked at Hye-ri with the little hope that she might understand and grant him this demand.
"I've said what I had to, Jeongin. Not adhering to what you're told can lead to consequences. Remember?" Her tone felt threatening.
Jeongin surely got the message. "Uhm... Suyeonnie, can you please go with her for now?"
"... But I want to stay here with you," Suyeon said in the softest whisper she could mutter.
"Listen, my dear, I'm not going anywhere. I'll be right here when you want to see me. But now I need you to go with the nice lady. Just do this for me, please."
The little five-year-old looked at her uncle sadly. Now she could clearly see that there was something wrong going on here, but obviously she was too young to properly comprehend. She just obliged.
Suyeon hugged Jeongin tightly before being taken away.
Now Jeongin was left to worry about himself. All by himself, with this repulsive man beside him...
