*Later that evening...*

Jeongin had been sitting on Chan's bed with him for the past hour, doing nothing but just cuddling.

Chan really needed some emotional comfort right now. His cousin, along with his boyfriend, just passed away.

Although Chan and Hyunjin did have their moments of bickering and fighting, but they were really close.

Jeongin's been trying his best to keep Chan away from any negative thoughts so far. But he knew that would take a whole lot to do that.

"Innie?"

"Yes?"

"You'll never leave me, ... right?"

Jeongin cupped his cheeks. "I won't leave you, Channie." Jeongin sat on Chan's lap with his legs falling open on each side of his body. "Tell me. What exactly makes you think that?"

"Everything just seems to be fading around me. I feel like... like I'm losing it all bit by bit. And it makes me feel weak. Nothing's ever really gone my way in the past. My parents nor my family ever saw me as worth anything. So, I tried by all means to prove them wrong. And now because of all this, I'm losing the ones I love." Tears began to form in his eyes. "Seungmin risks his life for me on a daily basis, yet he does it with a smile because he considers me an older brother. Now Felix is gone and Hyunjin's gone with him, and... and I'm just scared I'll lose you too..."

Tears rolled down his cheeks as he looked into Jeongin's eyes. The younger quickly wiped them away with his thumbs before placing a kiss on his forehead. "Channie..."

"I don't wanna lose you." Chan finally allowed himself to break.

Jeongin immediately pulled Chan close, feeling his body shake with silent sobs. Chan cried into Jeongin's shoulder. It was an extremely rare occurrence to even hear of Chan shedding tears, but he was able to show his vulnerability today.

'Is this how it feels when Chan has to comfort me?' Jeongin thought.

He couldn't bare seeing his boyfriend in such a broken state.

"Channie... Please look at me... Just look at me..."

Chan refused. He couldn't bring himself to look at Jeongin with such a face.

"Channie, please don't cry. It's okay," Jeongin whispered.

"Don't leave me, Jeongin," his voice cracked. "Please stay."

Jeongin pulled back from the hug and forcefully made Chan look at him. "I'm not going to leave you. Never... Listen, even if I go far away, even if something happens that will lead to us separating, I know you'll find me no matter what.

"B-But what if I can't?"

"That's out of the question,"Jeongin whispered against his lips, "I know you'll find me, even if I may be out of reach to some. But you? I trust you... This situation hurts us as a family. I understand. But we have to get through the pain together. You may fall weak, but I'm here with you. I'm not going anywhere, even if you try to get rid of me, it won't make a difference because I will find my way back. I promise..."

They softly joined their lips together. The kiss wasn't rushed. It wasn't needy. But it was inflamed with the burning passion they had towards one another. Tears mixed into the kiss, tears that were shed from the pain these two held in their hearts.

Chan had fears, just as Jeongin did. He was human after all. He just had trouble expressing those fears to the world like others.

But here, it was a safe place. Jeongin was his safe place. He was able to express himself freely without apprehension."
