(A/n: not the original draft...)
A small knock was heard on the door to the hospital room.
"Knock knock," Felix's voice was gentle.
A small smile rose on Sungmi's face when she saw her two friends.
"Hey, Sungmi." Hyunjin and Felix entered the room.
They sat on the chairs next to the bed.
"We're so sorry we couldn't come a bit sooner. It was a long way from travelling so much. But we tried to make space in our schedules just to see you," Hyunjin said.
"It's okay. I'm happy you're here." She really was genuinely happy that she was receiving such affection from the people that cared for her.
She looked so dull and lacked energy. Maybe it was the hospital atmosphere that made her look like this.
"We heard about the news," Felix said. "We hadn't expected any of this."
"It must be terrible to think about it."
"Well, maybe it's destiny. Maybe I was meant to have such a fate."
Felix placed a hand on her cold one. "Don't say that, Sungmi. Why do you think of it like that?"
"It could be true, though. Life is inevitable. The only predictable thing about life is it's unpredictability."
Sungmi has already seemed to accept her path of fate. While everyone around wasn't ready for it all.
As they stepped out of the hospital with heavy hearts. Felix couldn't help but tear up.
Hyunjin pulled him close as an attempt to comfort him. He knew how emotionally sensitive Felix was.

Hyunjin's POV
"So that's all you'll need to do for this part, okay?"
Felix and I nodded at the director's instructions.
This would probably be Felix's last shoot before he takes a break for his pregnancy.
Thinking about it made me nervous. Don't get me wrong, I was happy with the news of a baby. In fact I was over the moon with joy. But I was nervous because I didn't really think I would be capable enough of being a good father for this baby.
Being a parent comes with a lot of responsibilities, and responsibilities come with challenges.
I knew Felix would be a good parent – an amazing one at that. I was more worried about myself, whether I'd be able to do it without making any big mistakes that could cause something major.
But I think I was ready enough for the challenge of parenthood. It's about time I face reality head on.
We started off with the photoshoot, getting into our usual dynamics of the procedures.
Modelling has become a part of our lives, something that we were so used to that it feels attached to our existence at this rate. It makes me wonder sometimes: if I wasn't into modelling then would people still know me? Would I have met Felix?
This was how we met, at one of my photoshoots when we were still 21. Can't believe it's only been six years together, yet it felt like it had been forever.
Once we were done with the first shots, we checked the editing on the monitor, seeing if they wanted to edit anything to the pictures.
Inbetween all this, Felix and I kept glancing at one another and smiling fondly like we always do.
