Author's POV
Shi-on has been absolutely delighted about his wedding plans. And honestly, he has never been so excited about everything in his life. Although he was the only one who was thrilled about the situation.
Jeongin wasn't in a state of joy in any way. It was almost as if he felt no emotion.
Except for one: anger.
It had been bottled up for a long time and only continued to grow.
Shi-on's presence was further irritating and worsened Jeongin's exasperation.
"I was thinking maybe we could get gold silverware for the reception party. But we'll have to get cake testing done to chose the best flavour. We'll also need to get the proper measurements with the tailor. All of that will be checked and done tomorrow. For now... is there anything you want, baby?"
He he stared into blank space and mumbled: "... I just want to be alone..."
This was the first thing he had said all day.
"Anything but that."
Jeongin subtly rolled his eyes.
"Come on. I'm serious. Are you hungry? I'll go get some food for you-"
"I don't want anything," he cut him off.
Shi-on pouted. He went in to try and hug Jeongin, but he was immediately pushed away.
The boy shuffled back. "Don't you dare," he said with a shakey voice, his chest heaving and his eyes wide with confusion, rage and trepidation. "D-Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't even think about it!"
"Jeongin-"
"No! Stop it! Just stop it, okay! You know that I don't want any of this! I don't want to stay here, I don't want to get married to you, and I most definitely DO NOT want to be anywhere near a son of a bitch like you! You're forcing me into all of it and I can't take it anymore! LEAVE ME ALONE! JUST LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE! I HATE YOU!!!"
Jeongin couldn't even look at him anymore. His tears spilt out like a broken dam and stained his cheeks once again. He hugged his knees very tightly and buried his face and his body shook with silent sobs.
So far, Shi-on has only been able to notice Jeongin's fear. But rage? It seemed almost new but familiar. Something shifted inside him, but he didn't know what it was.
Without thinking much about anything, he pulled Jeongin harshly by his arms and brought him close.
"Listen to me, and listen carefully," he breathed in his face. "You and I are going to get married and sign that marriage certificate. I don't want to hear any arguments about this. Do you understand?"
"Overy my dead body-"
"You know very well that we can have that arranged," Shi-on tightened his grip, "But I want my dashing husband-to-be alive when we get married while wearing an expensive designer suit."
"I. Won't. Marry. You!" Jeongin said through gritted teeth.
"You won't have much of a choice in this when it happens."
Jeongin tried to pull away from Shi-on's deathly tight grip, but found it nearly impossible. "Let me go!!"
"Never. I'll never let you go away from me again, Jeongin."
Shi-on was awfully too close for anyone's liking.
"C-Chan's going to find me."
And just like that, he had pricked at a nerve – a very dangerous one.
