Nayeon's heart pounded in her chest as she turned to Jeongyeon, her gaze filled with a mixture of concern and a growing sense of dread.
"What's wrong?" she asked, her voice soft yet firm.
They are now inside the med student's car. The peaceful morning sun, seemed dark at the moment.
Jeongyeon averted her gaze, her eyes fixed on the passing landscape. A sigh escaped her lips, a heavy weight settling upon her shoulders.
"Jeongyeon..." Nayeon uttered, her hand gripping the leather steering wheel, "Tell me honestly, what is going on?" She stated, getting a little frustrated.
The football player clenched her jaw. Nayeon is already handing her the opportunity, she just have to say it.
"This is so not like you. When you didn't answer last night, I was so worried that I couldn't sleep. So I rushed here." Nayeon stated, her eyes tearing up as Jeongyeon is still staring outside the window instead of her. "If there is someone else tell me. I won't be selfish, I'll let you go. I just need you to be honest with me, Jeongyeon."
A single tear escaped Jeongyeon's eye, tracing a silent path down her cheek. The thought of breaking Nayeon's pure heart was unbearable.
"Jeongyeon..." The med student stated as she traced her fingers on Jeongyeon's cheek, "Are you tired? Tell me, I... I want to make you feel better." She pleaded. "Are you tired of me? Is our situation too hard?"
As Nayeon's voice broke, her tears began to fall freely. The fear of losing Jeongyeon, of watching their love crumble, was overwhelming. "Jeongyeon, I love you... please, say something," she pleaded, her heart aching with every passing moment.
Jeongyeon's heart ached with guilt. She had betrayed Nayeon, a betrayal that gnawed at her soul. No matter how she tried to justify her actions, the truth remained: she had cheated. Self-loathing consumed her as she gazed upon Nayeon's tear-streaked face.
Mustering all her strength, Jeongyeon focused her gaze on Nayeon, her heart heavy with sorrow. "I'm sorry," she uttered, her voice barely a breath. "I'm so sorry."
Nayeon's tears intensified, her confusion growing with each passing moment. "Why? Did you do something wrong?" she asked, her voice trembling. "Tell me, and I'll forgive you."
Jeongyeon hesitated, the weight of her confession heavy on her shoulders. But she knew she had to be honest, no matter the cost. She leaned in, her lips brushing against Nayeon's, a silent plea for understanding.
As their lips met, a spark ignited, a desperate attempt to rekindle the flame of their love. Jeongyeon poured her heart into the kiss, hoping that it would convey the depth of her feelings, the intensity of her love.
Deep down, Jeongyeon knew she was walking a tightrope. A perilous path laced with deception and half-truths. A single misstep could shatter the fragile bond they had built. Yet, the allure of Nayeon's love, her warmth, and her unwavering belief in her, pulled her in, a siren's song luring her closer to the precipice.
Nayeon, sensing her hesitation, pulled Jeongyeon closer, the kiss deepening, becoming more urgent. A fire ignited within her, a desperate need to possess Jeongyeon, body and soul. The world faded away, leaving only the two of them, lost in the intoxicating dance of passion.
As the kiss intensified, Jeongyeon felt a strange sense of peace. For a fleeting moment, she could almost forget the weight of her secret, the guilt that gnawed at her conscience. But the respite was brief. As they pulled away, their foreheads touching, she was brought back to reality. The fear, the guilt, and the uncertainty returned, a heavy burden weighing on her heart.
