It was early in the morning when it all went down, the sun had just begun to rise, shading the sky with light hues of orange and pink. The sun glistened over districts four waters, and the district was earily quite, but then it wasnt. In the distance you could just faintly hear the quite rumble of the trucks heading through the district, their tires skidding dirt along the ground as the pummeled over.

Nobody had been expecting it, mothers still hummed their children awake, and the workers who were already up, started to get ready for the day, and those who were already working stood knee deep in the water, too focused on their assighed task to be able to relize what was happening.

Avi rubbed the tension out of her shoulders, sighing as she walked out onto the beach to see Minso, and Gil. Mizzen followed after her, his body slumped over in tiredness. It had taken him an entire ten minutes just to get out of bed.

"About time you two woke up." Minso smirked, stabbing his trident into the water, gil chuckled from beside him, only momentarily glancing up at the two heading down the sand.

"Blame Mizzen," Said Avi, tugging her brother into her arms. Mizzen sunk into her side, his crooked smile flashing onto his face. "He refused to get up, just about had to drag him out of bed."

"Aww, is V being mean to you?" Gil pouted his lips teasingly, making Avi roll her eyes at the boys antics. She had missed this while being in the capital.

"Always." Mizzen replied, glancing over his shoulder as he eyed the incoming capital trucks. It wasnt out of the norm for the capital to send in shipments that the districts needed with the trucks, but there was just too many of them for it to just be a 'normal shipment.' Mizzen nudged Avi in the side, and though the was preoccupied with teasing Gil and Minso, she glanced down at him, a questioning look on her face. Mizzen pointed at the trucks, and Avi's eyebrows knitted together. Behind them, the pair could hear both Minso and Gil trudging out of the water, their footsteps loud and heavy.

"What the—" avi went to say, but before she could even form a full sentence, peacekeepers came filing out of the truck one after the other, right infront of Avi's and Mizzens house. The first peacekeeper knocked down their front door making both the siblings flinch. Minso grabbed onto Avi's shoulder, making her take a step back.

"Thats not good."

Minso tugged on them, pulling them back even farther, "we gotta get out of here."

Gil's head snapped around, and then pointed off to something behind the peackeepers trucks, just far enough that there was a chance that they would be able to make it: past one of the docks at the beach was an old passageway, that would lead them to the outskirts of district four. The only issue with the passage was that they risked being seen by the peacekeepers near them, but unfortunately it was there only way.

Gil took off into a run, the sand flying up from beneath him, as he was the first to make it behind one of the trucks, he ducked low, before turning an waving the other three over.

The three ran after him, ducking behind the truck, and Minso peeked out from one of the sides, to check if the coast was clear. He gave Gil a thumbs up, and nobody said a word. The only thing they could hear was the heavy breathing of eachother, then Gil spoke, his voice just barely audible.

"Avi and I will go first, when we make it. You and Mizzen will follow us." Gil told Minso, and Avi grabbed onto Gil's hand.

Both Gil and Avi stepped out from behind the trucks, and though the passageway had been clear just a few seconds ago, it wasnt know. Infront of them stood two peacekeepers, arms loaded with gun's that were aimed straight at them.

"Oh golly me." Gil mumbled under his breath. Neither of them got a second to think, becuase the peacekeepers grabbed onto them, slamming guns into the side of their heads.

Avi felt blood trickling down the side of her head, but she could barely notice it. Her vision went blurry, and her eyes began to ring, her body went limp in the peacekeepers arms.

All of her fighting didnt matter anymore, it was in vain, becuase Avi had been caught by suprise, and that would be her final blow.

Mizzen squeezed his eyes shut, unable to watch his unmoving sister be thrown in the back of the capital car. Minso held him down, making sure he didnt do anything stupid, but even if he did, it was too late, Gil and Avi were gone.
