Avi's life had never known life to be peacefull; she was always either fighting for her life, or fighting for someone, and it had begun to get tiring. She didnt want to fight anymore, she was tired of constantly being on edge, as if she was just one step away from loosing herself. She had never grown into her own mind, and never knew what to think half of the time, becuase she had never had the chance just to be herself. She had lost all reasons to keep going, she no longer had the same fuel she had when she was younger, and apart of her just wanted to let go, to lay down, and never get back up, but just as those thoughts started to absorb her, she had met him, and suddenly she had a reason to fight again, to keep going. For the first time in her entire life, it was calm, and her mind was quite. Though, he made her insanely nervouse, to the point where she could feel her heart beating out of her own chest. He was also the only thing that made her sane. Treech was like the light in her dark world, the one who could guide her through it all. He had saved her life multiple times, and in his arms, Avi finnally felt safe.

Treech, on the other hand had been searching for a reason his entire life. It was always just work and his family, he had never known anything else. If you had asked him before the games if he would entirely loose himself, and throw away everything he has ever known just for some girl, he would tell you no, but now Treech would do anything possible just to get to her, to see her one last time. He would leave his family, who he cared for so much, and could never live without. He would leave his friends, who always had his back, and he would leave home, the same home that he had been praying to go back to during his time in the capital, and it was all becuase he had fallen inlove. Treech was inlove with Avi, so inlove that he couldnt quite place a word on it, but he knew how he felt when he was around her. It was like his body was always itching to be near her, like just being in the same room wasnt enough, his heart was always pounding, and his stomache formed gentle knots, and he could never control that stupid giddy smile that always formed on his face when he saw her. Treech was insanely inlove with her; her soft hair, her sparkling eyes, and her skin that glowed in the sun. Most of all he loved the way she laughed, and the way she talked, her voice was so gentle, and whenever she said his name, it almost made him want to scream. Treech never thought he could he so obsessed with someone, or fall inlove so intensly, but he knew that there was something about Avi, that he couldnt get away from. He didnt want to, and Treech wanted to do anything he could just to get back to her.

But, as much as Treech could beg, or scream or cry. He wouldnt see Avi again, and it left an aching feeling in his chest, where his heart should have been. He wanted to scream, and destroy anything in sight, becuase the world had taken away the one thing that was keeping him sane after the games, the one person who could bring him back to reality, to help him remember that none of this was his fualt, that the deaths of the tributes wasnt on him. Most of all she was the only one who could help him remember he was still just Treech.

He wasnt a tribute, or a capital pawn, he wasnt someone who you could just take advantage of, or tell what to do, becuase he was his own person, he made his own choices. He was Treech, just Treech.

There was nothing, absolutely nothing anyone could say or do to make this any better for Treech. He felt distraught, and although he knew Avi wouldnt want him to be moping around like he was. He still couldnt shake the feeling of her not being with him, his hands felt cold, with no one to warm them, his mind was racing, destroying any sane part of him that was left, his body was shaking so uncontrollably that he could barely sleep, and whenever he was calm enough to shut his eyes, all he saw was her. Her face smiling at him, and he was reminded that Avi, was gone.
Treech would have no one to laugh with, or smile at, no one to calm his always running thoughts, most of all he knew that he would never love again, not like he loved Avi. No one could ever come close to her.

"Treech." Henry, Treech's older brother knocked on his door. Treech's jaw clenched, his face hardening as he sat in his bed. His blankets tucked up to his chin, like a little kid. He wished he was still a kid, when he didnt have to worry about anything, and his mother would come tuck him in every night, with a good night kiss. He missed that, but most of all he missed not being heartbroken.

"Go away, Henry." Treech didnt have to look at him, to know who was coming to see him. Just the sound of his voice made Treech want to go mad, it was like a peice of him snapped everytime he had to be reminded who's fualt it was. He felt like he was drifting away from his family.

"I know your upset—"

"Upset?" Treech's eyes snapped towards Henry, and his voice somehow got colder. Hot anger spitting off his skin. Treech brushed the blankets off of him, getting to his feet. "You think im just upset?"

Henry's lips pressed together, by now Treech had grown taller and stronger than the older boy. Henry was still just a district seven boy, who was loved by his family, but Treech was so much diffrent, he had now become a shell of the boy he used to be, and though Treech had always had a temper to him, this was so much worse. Treech was a boy who couldnt back down from a fight, he was always a step away from snapping at someone, and anything anyone ever said set him off. Treech was no longer just a boy from district seven who knew how to weild an axe, he was a boy who had taken someones life with an axe, and he was covered in their blood.

"Thats not what I meant." Henry tried, but it was no use. Treech was too angry.

"This isnt just some girl that I had a silly crush on, Henry." Treech went on to say, his hands clenching into tight fists, "dont you get that? I was fucking inlove with her, and im sorry that you cant comprehend that, but I can. She was everything to me, and its like I cant breathe without her. She was the only thing keeping me sane, so im sorry if I seem a little upset, and its ruining your day, but this is your fault."

"You'll find someone new Treech." Henry told him, his voice trying to be soft and comforting, "theres so many other people out there for you."

"I dont want anyone else." Treech spat, "I wanted her."

"Im sorry, ok!" Henry ran a hand through his hair, as if he was the one who should be frusturated. "I didnt mean to get her hurt. I was just trying to protect you."

"Protect me?" Treech's eyebrows raised, looking at henry as if he had just said the dumbest thing he'd ever heard. "When have you ever fucking protected me? Ive done it all, I worked my ass off, I was the one in the games, I was the one who had to protect myself, not you. If anything you've only made it worse."

"I didnt want to loose you." Henry's eyes flashed with hurt, and Treech swallowed, stepping towards him. For a moment, Henry thought he was reaching out towards him, to forgive him, but Treech's hands only skipped past him, grabbing ahold of the door.

"Looks like your loosing me anyways." Treech's eyes were cold and hard, staring at Henry with no forgiveness, and though his words were simple, they held a much deeper meaning to the boy infront of him. Treech pushed the door closed, standing behind it with trembling hands as he was finnally sheilded from his traitor of a brother. He would never forgive Henry, not for taking her away from him.
