Apparently, a girl got hexed on her way to Hogsmeade last weekend. Don't know who did it and I don't have the time to care. Today is the Slytherin vs. Gryffindor match.

I walk into the Great Hall in my uniform, minus the armor, and sit in my usual spot. Annelise, Christopher, and Nora are already in their spots as I sit down. Since there is a Quidditch match today, I'm not surprised when the entire team sits with us. It's time to plan.

"Is this everyone?" I ask. Everyone nods and I smirk, "Good. Here's the plan: I focus on the snitch, obviously, while Grayson and Blaise distract Gryffindor Chasers. Preston, you use this to your advantage and score as many points as possible. It's likely that, if you play your cards right, the Gryffindor Beaters will be too busy with Grayson and Blaise to remember you. Next, Louis, Mattheo, and Theo. Don't let anyone score, obviously. Mattheo, you're our fastest flier who isn't seeker, so you'll be defense for middle, left, and right. Louis, you're left, and Theo, you're right. Don't run into each other. Find a way to communicate with each other, am I clear?"

"Yes ma'am," Grayson says, nodding with the others.

"Alright, now eat. You all will need the energy tonight."

The boys nod as they start eating. I glance at Christopher, who's next to Grayson, to see if he did what I wanted. When he nods, I start to smile. Grayson drinks all the water from his cup within seconds. My smile widens.

As he eats his food, I notice his expression start to shift. It's working. His hand suddenly grabs mine from across the table without glancing up from his food. This fattie—

We stand with our brooms in hand in the Slytherin player tunnel as a muggle song recommended by some Hufflepuff named Penelope called Song 2 by this band called Blur plays. The moment that the beat drops, Gryffindor flies onto the pitch.

Nonchalantly, I yawn as the Gryffindor stands cheer excessively. Soon enough, the pitch lights finally shut off and another song suggested by the Hufflepuff plays. It's called Hayloft by Mother Mother, another band I don't know.

All of us mount our brooms as the song starts and immediately start flying onto the pitch as the beat drops, green lights flooding the stadium. I'm the last one to exit the tunnel and get into my designated space, face to face with Harry.

"Ready to lose?" he asks as the music fades out.

"You wish, Potter."

The narrator for the game today starts explaining the game and how the points work but all I do is glance around at the stands. Stupid idea. Just as the game starts, my eyes land on my father. I freeze. The snitch and Harry fly straight past me. Quickly, I regain my composure and chase after him and the Snitch. Why is father here? Today is the most important game of the season, of course he had to ruin it and distract me by only showing up. Why wouldn't he? I haven't been answering his letters, so he thinks it's right to just show up without warning. Typical Father.

I quickly catch up with Harry, our shoulders colliding as we try to lose each other's tails. Neither of us give in as we see the Snitch just out of reach. We ignore the score announcements. Those are the least of our concerns.

Suddenly, the Snitch dips down steeply. I catch on to this quicker than he does, so when I dip down, I'm already ahead of Harry. The Snitch finds its way back to the Pitch and Slytherin cheers abruptly when they see me leading. We're undefeated. I can't let us lose this. Harry's shoulder meets mine as the Snitch rushes toward the ground. Both of our arms are extended, reaching for the Snitch and ignoring how close we are getting to the ground. If we get too close, we crash. Obviously, we both seem to have larger priorities.

As Harry starts to panic and pulls up so he doesn't get hurt, I speed up, clenching my eyes shut as I reach for the Snitch. That is until I crash into the ground and black out.
