I'm frozen in place.

There, right in front of me, is a Ukrainian Ironbelly. Chains are wrapped around its body and it's pale as ever. As I stare into its eyes, it looks soulless, like it hasn't had a life outside of this cave.

"Bloody hell..." Ron mutters.

I watch Griphook grab a cowbell-looking thing, handing one to Louis and another to Ron, and start shaking it. The dragon screams in agony. My eyes widen in horror.

"It's been trained to expect pain when it hears the noise," Griphook shouts as Louis and Ron start to copy him. I can barely even watch as we make our way to the vault.

"That's barbaric," Hermione and I say.

We eventually reach the vault, Griphook using the other goblin's hand to unlock it. As quickly as possible, we all slip inside, taking our wands out and collectively saying, "Lumos."

The place is a mess. I can hardly walk in the area.

My hand brushes against one of the riches in the room and it falls to the ground, shaking immensely and replicating itself nonstop. The Gemino Curse. Oh no...

It doesn't take long for everything around us to start multiplying, pooling around our legs. I glance back at the rest of the group and notice Penelope's panicked expression. She has no idea what is happening. She's never seen anything like this before or even been taught it. Clearly, she hasn't been around magic all that much.

Has Louis been hiding it from her? Or at least keeping her from going to school for it?

I watch as Harry swims through the pool of riches, catching the Sword of Gryffindor when Hermione tosses it to him. For a moment, I'm confused about what he's doing. Then I realize that he's grabbing a random cup with the sword.

He tries to catch it, but it is flung into Griphook's hands.

"Griphook!" Harry shouts. "Hand us the cup!"

"Give me the sword!" he grumbles.

Harry hesitates for a moment before tossing the sword to Griphook. In return, Griphook tosses the cup to me. There's suddenly a loud ringing in my ear, causing me to cry out in pain and hand it to Louis.

Ignoring my outburst, Griphook murmurs, "I said I'd get you in, but I never said anything about getting you out!"

My eyes widen as he opens the door and flees the scene. We all cry after him as he slips out the door with the goblin. Oh we're screwed. We're so pathetically and desperately screwed. I don't even realize that the others are screaming for a different reason until I feel a sharp pain on my arm. I hiss and grunt in pain, lifting my arm out from the pool of gold only to see that it's covered in burns. Now we're totally screwed.

Of course Bellatrix wouldn't just stop at a duplication curse. She wants whoever enters her vault to die no matter what. You can try to get out through the door, but you'd have to make sure that you get to the door in time before you are either crushed by hundreds of tons of gold on top of you or cauterized by the very touch of the gold.

It's a death trap hidden in the depths of Gringotts.

And it will stay here forever until someone dares to clean it out once she's dead.

Which I hope is soon.

The pain quickly becomes unbearable, my throat straining itself as I let out a disquieting scream. Only when I hear Louis' screams am I no longer aware that I'm in pain. My pain is no longer mine. For it is his. I just may die in this vault, but I refuse for that to be his destiny. He can't die. He needs to be there in the future,
