Makayla
Today is, unfortunately, the day where the Dark Lord's plan is carried out. Together, the entire Malfoy Family meets in the Room of Requirement to welcome Deatheaters into the castle to kill [REDACTED]. Yay...
I'm on my way there right now with Chase and Kirsten. Over the years, I haven't gotten a chance to regain a relationship with these two. Chase and I used to be best friends before I ran away. Now, we barely talk. As for Kirsten, we used to be nearly the same. She's started acting sour to me on occasions and reminds me of all my rebellion against the Dark Lord and how I've been messing up more and more lately. She blames it on Louis. Honestly, she might be right.
When we walk into the Room of Requirement,Draco, Keyanna, Nora, and Preston are already there. Kirsten looks around, unamused.
"So this is the place you trained an army to go against the Dark Lord with Harry Potter?" she asks monotonically.
I roll my eyes. "Oh, please," I groan. "You know nothing."
"And who's fault is that?"
I sigh as Draco opens the cabinet and multiple Deatheaters step out. Bellatrix pinches my cheek strongly as she walks past and I almost wince.
"Well," she exclaims, "shall we?"
All of the Deatheaters exit the room and we all follow. It's silent as we file through the halls toward the Astronomy Tower. I hate silence.
When we walk in, there are disturbed whispers. From the little I heard, it sounded like an immobilization spell.
Dumbledore is alone when we walk in. Everyone pushes me toward him and I just roll my eyes and point my wand at him as I come into view.
"Good evening Makayla," Dumbledore murmurs. "What brings you here on this fine spring evening?"
"Who else is here?" I stay firm. "I heard you talking."
"I often talk aloud to myself," he lies. "I find it extraordinarily useful... Have you been whispering to yourself, Makayla?" I stay silent. "Makayla, you are no assassin."
"How do you know what I am?" I grunt. "All you do is focus on Potter anyway! I've done things that would shock you!"
"Oh, like cursing Katy Bell and hoping that, in return, she'd bear a cursed necklace to me?" he notes. "Like replacing a bottle of mead with one laced with poison? Forgive me Makayla. I cannot help feeling that these actions are so weak that your heart can't really be in them."
"He trusts me!" I choke. "I was chosen." To further prove my point, I pull up my sleeve and show the Dark Mark on my forearm. "He chose me to kill you and Kai..."
"I shall make it easy for you," Dumbledore says, beginning to raise his wand.
Before he gets the chance to do anything good or evil, I shout, "Expelliarmus!" His wand is now on the other side of the room.
"Very good... Very good..." he murmurs just as the door to the Astronomy Tower makes a noise to signal it opened. "You're not alone... There are others... How?"
"The Vanishing Cabinet in the Room of Requirement," I explain. "Draco mended it."
"Let me guess," he whispers, "it has a sister... A twin."
"At Borgan and Burkes. They form a passage," I add.
"Ingenious..." he murmurs. The funny thing is that this man isn't even upset that he's about to die and no one would be surprised. "Makayla, years ago, I knew a boy who made all the wrong choices. Please let me help you."
