My brother was assaulted by Harry Potter a bit ago. Makayla had to watch. I can only imagine what she was feeling at that moment. Kai died not even two months ago. She'd die before losing another brother because of her.

I hear from some Gryffindors that it was the book Makayla told me about that gave Harry access to the Sectumsempra curse. They've also said that he got rid of the book the minute he knew what the spell could really do. I pray that's true.

To my surprise, my sister actually helped Harry with something regarding Professor Slughorn yesterday. You'd think she would save her Liquid Luck for herself.

"I didn't know Mr. Malfoy had so much going on," Penelope murmurs as she and I work on our potions project.

"Not much," I explain. "The worst thing he has to go through is being stuck in that Half Blood's presence everyday."

"You do know that Louis Lupin is a Half Blood, right?" Penelope snorts.

"What?" I ask. "Does my sister know about this?"

She laughs, "Why would she need to? They hate each other, don't they?"

"Not anymore!" I cry. "She stole him from me and now they're dating!"

Her eyes widen, "Louis Lupin is with Makayla Malfoy?"

"You didn't know?"

"No..."

Annelise

I'm sitting at the Gryffindor table with Alistari when Hermione asks, "Ann, do you have an idea where Harry is?"

"Last I saw him was outside of Sev—Snape's classroom and he was off to Dumbledore's," I declare.

She nods, "Right, thanks."

After a moment, Alistari murmurs, "You know, I heard Harry talking to Slughorn about Horcruxes..."

"What the heck is that?"

Mattheo then walks over and taps me on my shoulder. I glance at him and he nods toward the door to hint that he wants to talk alone. Nodding, I stand up and follow him out of the room.

"What's up, Mattheo?" I ask.

"Nothing much, I was just wondering if you and Preston were still together..."

I'm caught off guard by the question and snort, "No, I broke up with him. I even found out that he cheated on me! Ironic, right?" Why?"

"Well, I was wondering if you were up to trying relationships again?"

A smirk grows on my lips. "Are you asking me what I think you're asking?"

"What do you think I'm asking?"

"Are you asking me out?"

"And what if I was?" he asks, seemingly nervous by the way that he fiddles with his fingers.

"Well, I'd probably say yes if that is what you're asking."

He smiles. "Good thing that is what I'm asking."

My smile grows as I giggle, "Where is this coming from?"

"Probably the three years of pent up feelings for you that I've been keeping because my brother likes you," he sighs.

"Wait—Jamie likes me?" I ask. Where the heck did that come from?

"What kind of situationship did you two have going?" he teases as I playfully punch his arm.

"Anyway!" I exclaim. "What does this mean? Are we dating now?"

"Well, I guess we need to, like, officiate it," he mutters, glancing around awkwardly as if he's expecting something.

I snort, knowing what he wants. "You're not subtle, Riddle."

He rolls his eyes, "Come on!"

Smiling, I just kiss him—the kiss so quick that it could be considered as a peck—before rushing back into the Great Hall. As I walk back to where I was sitting, I can hear him shout, "That's not fair!" I laugh.
