"Aunt Bellatrix, you can't possibly be thinking about—" I try to reason with her as she throws Hermione onto the ground.
"I need information and I'm gonna get it one way or another," Bellatrix snarls.
I quickly turn to Mother, looking at her desperately. "Mother, there has to be another way. You can't do this, it's torture!"
"It's the only way..." Mother mutters.
"We don't have to be evil 24/7!" I snap. "We don't have to be monsters all the time!"
She looks at me, horrified at what I've said. Suddenly, I feel a presence behind me. My heart drops as I go silent.
Bellatrix rests her chin on my shoulder as both her hands clasp my arms. "Makayla, dear," she whispers against my ear, sending a dark chill down my spine. "Perhaps you should join us in our girl talk." I start to shake my head lightly as she guides me over to where Hermione is. Tears fill my eyes as I'm shoved to the ground next to Hermione.
"Aunt Bellie, please—"
Suddenly, she's on the floor as well, pinning us both to the ground as she grumbles, "I think it's about time you learned how we do things around here, Makayla. Let's start with her."
Louis Lupin
We're thrown into the Cellar by Peter Pettigrew. Harry and Ron rush to the door as it closes, then Hermione's screams start. I watch as Ron's expression darkens and Harry stares at the top of the stairs in horror.
"Ron? Harry? Louis?" Luna's voice suddenly creeps from the back of the room. We all look behind us to see Luna peeking behind a pillar. Ron opens his light thingy that he apparently got from Dumbledore and it turns on the lamp near her face.
"Luna?" Harry asks, surprised.
I quickly get back on my feet. Luna being here can only mean one thing. All of the important people who are captured are held here. Annie is important to Voldemort if he wants to get anywhere close to the Order. Where the heck is my sister?
Suddenly, Mr. Ollivander, Griphook the goblin, and my sister peer out from pillars as well. Without even thinking, I rush over and pull Annie into my arms, tears pricking my eyes as I hold the person I worried I'd never see again. I already lost Makayla, I don't think I could survive losing my sister.
As I hold Annie, Hermione's screams get more evident and clear and Ron shouts, "We have to do something!"
"There's no way out of here," Mr. Ollivander explains. "We've tried everything. It's enchanted..."
I watch over my shoulder as Harry reaches down into his sock, pulling out a mirror shard. Noticing this, Luna observes. "You're bleeding, Harry. That's a curious thing to keep in your sock..."
Harry goes into the corner of the room and starts talking to himself, whispering, "Help us," and things like that.
"We've been in here for not even two minutes and he's already gone mad..." I murmur to myself, to which I earn a slap on the arm from Annie. "What?"
Footsteps emerge from the top of the stairs and Ron quickly turns out the light. Peter Pettigrew starts to open the door and Ron grabs it, Peter's wand immediately pointing at his face. "Let her go."
"Shut up," Peter murmurs, walking further into the cellar. "Get back!" He scans the room before pointing his wand at Griphook. "You, goblin. Come with me."
