WITH Y/N POTENTIALLY AT REST,

WE VIEW MOX...

Y/N is in critical condition. I am on the moon, within the Traitor's Ketch, an old Fallen ship that housed many traitors, many anomalies, and worse, at one point, SIVA and Taken in one single lifetime. If you don't know what either of those are, then that's a good thing. Both are leeches that take advantage of their people, and I'm stuck in close proximity to them... SIVA, mostly...

It's not gone, don't let anyone try to tell you differently. Just as SIVA was promised as a self-replicating nanotechnology that would've been used to help build colonies. However, it was used by a Warmind as a weapon and killed most of our own. SIVA was the death of Aqua. I have had to fight zombified guardians rebuilt by the monstrous infection that it was.

The old Y/N might have blown up Site 6 on Earth, but it exists across the solar system due to their desire to build new colonies. Not me, but people from hundreds of years ago. It reminds me a lot of what's wrong with Y/N in a way, in the sense that once a nanite attaches, it spreads like a cancer, following whatever direction that it's programmed to follow. We may use it again... to save his life... but the "nerds" and I all agree it's a horrible idea.

SIVA from the Outbreak Perfected rifles that some guardians have are too stable... We wouldn't have enough of the weak SIVA nanites from those rifles to disassemble and teach it to erect a cure. Some raiders from the Deep Stone Crypt have found records left behind from the Fallen that maybe... just maybe... if we found unstable SIVA, we'd be able to use programmable nanites from the disassembled guns, and the quarantined, cursed nanites we use.

This is the only experiment that allows us to see a light... a speck of light... at the end of a gauntlet filled with horrors beyond my comprehension. With Serenity's emotions on overdrive, and Chase's hands too shaky to hold a sniper straight, it was up to me to perform the scouting operation.

Shade: Any chance you have at Y/N's life being extended...

Mox: I take it.

The blast door doesn't budge, and I'm forced to rip it open with force. It rips, buckles, and tears through its hydraulics as it opens. Dead SIVA nanites trickle along the floor when the vault is once again opened. It's a cache stolen by the Fallen when they resurrected Taniks, and it's been replicating, incubating, and rebuilding anything it could find. I find a soda can on the floor, and upon picking it up, it's pristine... from the old world...

I'm able to pop it open, pour out its contents, and watch it spill onto the ground, revealing more nanites inside the can as the liquid begins to spread down to the single ATOM. I will never drink anything from a can again...

Shade: This is the optimal sample size.

As my Shade scans the soda can, it begins to fizz and crackle, some of the nanties breaking off as it transmats. She made sure to stuff it into a stasis capsule that was given to me by Banshee-44, a man who's experienced with the Outbreak Perfected rifles... a-and... ironically, SIVA itself...

Y/N, I'm coming home... Y/N, I'm coming home... Y/N... I'm... coming... home...

I flee to my ship as fast as humanly possible, wasting all my grenades, resources, and strength as I plow through any Fallen that tries to stop me. Words can not contain the volume of explosions, booms, and fires that start as I push through them in all my rage.

*BOOMS... WOOSHES... BLASTS... PEWS...*

Mox: GET OUT OF MY WAY!!!

Shade: MOX, WAIT-
