Y/N: They don't hurt, but it's not pleasant knowing that I can't walk. What, care to rub it in again how you were almost out of this hellhole? Abandoning everyone else?
Doctor: Stop... I only left urgently because... I-I heard a voice... I could hear my son. He's... He wasn't... a year old... I thought I lost him and my wife when this collapse first landed, and for years, I...
Y/N: Chase...
Doctor: I'm not giving that serpent a name...
Y/N: She did this... she lured you into her trap like she used you to lure me. She's crafty, and capable... I'm happy we didn't have to kill her, because she's been useful.
Chase slithers up Serenity's leg, hissing at the doctor, causing him to flinch.
Y/N: See? She's harmless!
Doctor: GET HER AWAY!!! She chopped your legs off!
Y/N: She said she was sorry! She even said it to you, if only you'd listen!
Doctor: When she does that... thing... I hear my son! I don't hear the feminine voice you are craving! You are sick... filled with lusty desires you don't understand. How do you know what you want when you can't even remember my name?!
Y/N: Your name isn't important. What is important is what you're about to do.
Chase looks at me, then looks at him, then back at me. She slithers down to the nubs that were my legs and still tries to see if there's a way she can give me the ability to walk. The doctor, no longer acting like a doctor, flees as soon as he sees the village in his view. Eventually we all get there, but the doctor is panicking, trying to start a commotion.
Doctor: AND HE HAS THESE TWO BEASTS!!! He tamed one, but the other I don't trust! Don't let her look at you, he-AAAAH!!!
He screams, then ducks behind a tree stump. Gaia comes forward first with a shotgun in her hand, wearing armor that was given to her by a passing guardian.
Gaia: So, you've returned...
Y/N: Yes, I have returned. I brought the doctor back. The key is in his jacket.
Two people swarm him, taking the key from his jacket. The doctor stops panicking once he realizes he's not getting out of here without the others. Gaia offers her hand to me, which I take. She realizes quickly once I land on the ground that I don't have any legs.
Gaia: What the hell?! What happened?!
Y/N: The serpent took my legs... her name is Chase, the lion is Serenity...
Gaia: Lion... serpent... okay... Why did you keep her alive if she's that dangerous? Why did you keep these two alive?
Y/N: I helped the lion with her darkness infection. The serpent seemed to understand that I wasn't there to kill her, but... maybe I was a familiar face. It can speak to me, and it apologized.
Gaia: Doesn't really solve the issues of your legs... You need to be able to walk.
Y/N: I know...
Gaia: Rolling will not count either.
She picks me up, smirking down at me as she holds me in her big strong arms. She grunts, carrying me away from Chase and Serenity to the center of the village. People crowd around us after she plants me down on one of the tree stumps.
Gaia: We were riding a lot on you, we're glad you made it back...
Y/N: I'm glad to be back...
Gaia: Alright everyone! LISTEN UP!!!
