The radio guy was right, the trip to Port 4 was easy and it was clear, like he promised. How he knew that, I have no idea. I can only suspect he's somewhere high, or that he wishes for the safety of the people just as much as I do, so much so he is risking his life alone...

We arrive at a docking area, a large hangar with many different ports inside it. Gaia and another villager step aside so that Serenity can break through the barriers keeping us from the main gate. When we arrive at a large gate with the huge "4" on it, we suspect that this is where the key is used.

Doctor: Yesss... f-finally...

I climb off of Serenity, patting her as I walk in front. Chase slithers up beside me to study the console adjacent to the massive door. The noise the old door makes is something of a marvel. I don't know whether to call it plain loud, or earth-shattering. I swipe the card, then it beeps, processes, dumps a list of error codes on the cracked screen. It beeps once more, and then... silence...

Gaia: What's the hold up?

Y/N: I-I don't know! I never used this before, so... maybe it's broken?

Doctor: Broken? There's no way!

I look at Chase, then Chase hisses softly, sticking her tongue out. I wonder what she's looking at or what she's thinking, looking like that. I look back at the group of people on the back of Serenity just waiting or disappointed. The console begins to scream in automated noises beyond my comprehension.

*SCREECH! LOUD METAL BANGING!*

I back away from the console, then look up as I hear the loud banging. It seems like the door's finally opening, unlocking itself and the huge gate beginning to pull itself open. One of the sides doesn't open, but the other side opens enough to get all of us inside. When we enter the port, it's not empty, but there are some ships missing. Nothing is broken, everything, including the vending machines are all pristine.

The air in here even seems different, but it's reunited with the worse air when the other side opens up. Now, hopefully, the ships are in a good enough shape to fly out of here. It seems like with all the villagers, we would only need two of the five ships that are here. Gaia and I help villagers off of the back of Serenity, then guide them to the ships.

My radio begins to spew static, but I can't understand what he's saying in this giant exit that hopefully won't become our tomb.

Y/N: Does anyone know how to fly these things?!

The doctor pokes his head out of one of the ramps of one of the ships before it starts building revs. It seems he already got one started up and ready to leave. The radio guy has no idea what he's talking about. He clearly knows something if he's able to start a ship for these people.

Doctor: It's easy! What is your name?!

Gaia: GAIA!!!

Doctor: Press the big red button and follow the directions! You can read English, yes?!

Gaia: Yes!

Doctor: Don't be afraid of it!

I stay silent as the doctor and Gaia both configure two ships. Serenity and Chase look at me in curiosity as to what I'm going to do. They don't understand that I'm probably not going to leave. Or... they are hoping that I'm not leaving them, which might be the case.

Both ships fire up, then begin revving even louder, reminding me that things are indeed loud. The number of noises that I've been hearing, feeling, and experiencing have all been able to paralyze me. It keeps reminding me of Serenity's roars that cause my head to go hazy for a moment. Chase slithers around, curling up around my leg as the huge noise startles her. Gaia comes running out of one of the ships, grabbing onto my arm and pulling me as the noise continues to grow.
