I finish polishing Seri's dome, then glide my hand across her jaw when I'm finished. I kiss her, then I put a chroma in each of her eye sockets, mimicking the cosmic energy coming from her eyes. Her yellow eyes now sparkle, emitting some tiny star particles in a holographic form. Before that, I replaced her antennas with horns, making her look like a beast.

I did much more than that, but she looks... glorious now. Just in time for the ball, we were all ready to go. Only... I was last.

Chase: So, is it your turn, boot shiner?

Y/N: Y-yeah... I guess. I don't know what I'm going to wear. Maybe my old Guardian Apparel robe; it's quite formal. Seri, do you-

Mox: I'm on it. I saw it last time I was here.

Seri: I'll undress him... at least his shirt here.

She lifts me up, taking my jacket off and handing it to Chase. Seri pulls my shirt off like it's a normal scene, but it makes Chase and Mox stop. Neither one of them has seen me shirtless.

Chase: For a... uhh... "walking corpse", you like to call yourself, you're kinda cut.

Mox: Hmmm. It's probably just the wheelchair.

Chase: Maybe, but admit it, he looks good.

Mox comes over with my robe, handing it out to Seri. Seri takes the beginning part, wrapping it around my bare chest. She tightens the loops on it, then puts the belt on around my waist. Mox helps adjust the collar, tightening it, making sure it's level as it droops down both legs.

Chase: Warlocks know their robes.

Mox: If you are going to be going to a formal event, you waste NOTHING. Look here, Y/N.

I look at her and smirk, which makes her smirk slightly as she hesitates. She does up my hair, sliding the sides back and fluffing the top around. She snaps her finger and it creates a spark of void. She uses it to trim up my beard a bit. I honestly forgot I had one.

Seri watches in jealousy as she makes me look better than she could. That being said, it doesn't mean she didn't make me look good. Mox just took it the extra mile in her own way. Each girl has been treating me like I'm going to be their date. I don't want to shut them down, but I'm afraid I'll have to at some point.

Mox: There, a mortal walking amongst guardians. This is the right impression.

Chase: I think it's too much. You did him up like a prized turkey!

Seri: No... i-it's pretty good... thanks, Mox.

Mox: O-Oh... Yeah, of course, I just did it for you.

Mox looks at me again, eyeing my face up and down, then locking on my eyes for a second before she backs away. I must say, I made her even more goth than I thought. Goth is all about expression, not just putting on black lipstick and hating conformity. As quiet as she likes to be, or ignorant, she's expressive as hell right now.

Chase: OH!!! FUCK IT!!! I don't care anymore, Serenity!

Seri: What? I thought we apologized and made up!

Chase: I LIKE Y/N!!!

Seri: I figured we all did... that's not a surprise...

Chase: I LOVE Y/N!!!

Seri goes silent for a moment, scolding her in the awkward silence that we just made. I can hear the clicking of her eyes focusing and blinking as she tries to process the words. Chase is hunched slightly, like she just got done killing a Vex or Cabal figurehead.
