It was a beautiful snowy morning in New York and Y/N was so excited to wake up her baby girl as it was finally Christmas! Scarlett had been waiting for this day all year, and her dream holiday was about to be the best day ever.
"Wakey wakey, baby. It's morning", Y/N let out softly as she lowered the railing of Scar's crib and started rubbing her back softly.
"Go to bed, Mama", Scar mumbled against her pillow as she nuzzled her face further into it. At her words, Y/N let out a heartfelt chuckle thanks to her baby's morning grumpiness.
"Hey, don't be mean, kitten. Santa can still come back and take all your gifts away", Y/N commented cheekily, knowing very well this would wake her baby girl up right away.
"Santi Claus? He comes? And weaves pwesents fow me?", Scarlett asked curiously as she struggled to roll onto her back while being tangled inside her sleep sack.
"Well, I don't know. The only way we are going to find out if Santa got you presents for being a good girl is to wake up and go downstairs to check underneath the tree", Y/N reasoned with her baby, and Scarlett easily sat up on the mattress and lifted her arms before doing grabby hands towards her Mama.
"Wha' we waidin' fow? Uppie, Mama. Le's go see if Santi comes", Scarlett commanded Y/N, which caused her to laugh once more before she budged to her baby's request.
"Baby, yes, baby. But you need a diapy change first, so let's do that", Y/N told Scarlett with a salute before picking her up and walking both of them towards the changing table in the nursery. After getting her out of her sleep sack and doing a quick diaper change, Y/N walked down the stairs directly into the living room where the subtle lights in the Christmas tree illuminated the room, adding a dreamy and magical atmosphere to the holiday's prime event.
"Good morning, my babies. Merry Christmas", Chris Evans, Y/N's boyfriend and fellow caregiver, greeted the two women as he wrapped his arms around them before leaving a kiss on both of their temples.
"Mewwy Chwis'mas, Dada!", Scarlett cheered before launching herself over to Chris's arms. Thankfully, Chris was able to read the baby girl's antics ahead of time and caught Scarlett, avoiding any accidents from happening or tears spilling on this special Christmas Day.
"Woah, baby. I know you're excited, but you have to be more careful about jumping carelessly. We don't want you getting hurt, right?", Chris told Scarlett as he combed back Scarlett's serious case of bed hair.
"Sowwy, Dada. I be mowe caweful", Scarlett told Chris with a bummed expression, but Chris quickly kissed Scarlett's nose, causing her to giggle and easily forget about the uncomfortable moment from seconds ago.
"Anyways, shall we go see if Santa left presents under the tree for our little angel?", Chris tickled Scarlett playfully as she once again giggled happily while trying to squirm away from Chris's tickle attack before she nodded in agreement with his proposal.
"Yeah! I wan' to sees ma pwesents", Scarlett said excitedly as both of her caregivers just chuckled at her adorableness before they all walked further into the living room and close to the Christmas tree. Chris put Scarlett down on the floor before she quickly crawled closer to the many presents. "Wow, ders so many!", Scarlett said in amazement as she reached for the closest wrapped gift and shook it close to her ear to figure out what's inside based on the noise it made.
