Welcome back friends, miss me?

It's been a long time since you embarked on this journey. Have you enjoyed your time in the Forest? Sorry about the slight disturbance. A stray neutrino must have decided to mess with me and caused this anomaly just to make my life harder.

Hopefully, you haven't lost any limbs with the foliage crushing in on itself. Somebody was messing with the density of trees per square meter and I still can't seem to figure out who did it.

Anyways, do you remember that question I posed to you at the beginning of this place?

No? Let me remind you.

Have you noticed what has changed?

Or has time slipped by you?

Think about it for a moment, then let us move forward with our differences.

......

Hmm? Who am I?

What a strange question. You know me as much as I know you. I'm courier of the dead, keeper of time, watcher of the river.

You've met me many times.

Still no? Okay, how about this? Once this is all over and the final stars go dark, how about we go on a ride together on my boat? We can then regale each other with tales of past memories and see what we've lost.

.........

Do you hear that?

The sound of the pendulum flicking back and forth to infinity.

The clock has struck nine friends

Sand begins to flow once more.

Let's begin, shall we?

Chara jumped up, static running down her spine in a flash. The sudden burst of stimulation brought her back to a distant land. She had instinctively spun around, swiftly cutting in an upward motion. Small beads of blood bubbled from the cut on the stranger's cheek after he narrowly avoided her attack.

He quickly stumbled backward in surprise, eyes widening at the brazen assault.

Barreling forward, Chara slammed into the stranger with her forearm, pushing him over and onto his back and knocking the air out of his lungs. Her blade gleamed in the sunlight as she hovered it above his neck. Her weight pressed down on his abdomen, which made it nearly impossible to catch his breath. Her eyes glowed a subtle red as they bore holes into his.

"Who are you!?" Chara demanded in a threatening tone.

The stranger raised his hands in a motion of surrender. His chest rose and sank shallowly under the pressure she put on him.

"You know... maybe I could... tell you if... I could breathe..." He said, still squirming under her as he tried to get out of the compromising situation. His face was beginning to turn blue from the lack of oxygen.

"..." Chara relented and got off him, her blade still pointed towards the stranger.

He sat up, taking heaving breaths to relieve the pressure in his chest.
