It was late now, past midnight. We had gone to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show at an old theatre, the actors played the parts perfectly as the movie played on a large screen behind them. Alice and I followed along with the props she had packed- this movie was one of our all time favourite. Even Edward seemed to enjoy the show, though he did look away from some of the more provocative costumes. Now we were walking down the crowded street, filled with other people who had dressed up to see the show. I wore Alice's black fur coat around my shoulders, and my legs were exposed. It truly was a cult classic.

"You look amazing, Alice." I laughed as Alice twirled, her costume was beautiful, a black dress with simple lace details. It was timeless- elegant. Fake blood dripped down her lips, her golden eyes sparkled. Playing dress up was her specialty. All of the costumes she had put together were truly phenomenal, each one with its own character and creepy touches.

"Bella, you look simply stunning!" She said back, admiring her work. "Haven't you noticed the way Edward has been looking at you all night?" She giggled, and I glanced behind me, where Edward and Jasper had been walking only a few meters behind us. He was watching me closely, a look in his eye that was almost hungry. He smiled as we made eye contact, the crooked grin that made me feel so much joy. It was exciting to see him look at me in such a way. The costume was not something I would wear normally. I wouldn't have picked it for myself even, but after my original display of insecurity Alice convinced me to go out in it.

"Let's go in here." She suggested, her eyes landing on a classic English pub. The sign on the door read Open Late Halloween Night . "You must be starving! And I'm sure they have great nachos." She grabbed me by the arm and pulled me in, Jasper and Edward followed. Edward put an arm around my waist as a waitress lead us to a booth and handed us menus.

"Drinks to start?" She offered, her eyes glimmered at Edward.

"Bella, dear, what would you like?" He asked politely, his eyes lingered on me, hungry, passionate. I blushed.

"Uh, I'll take a coke." I stuttered, flustered by the way Edward looked at me.

"And we'll take a plate of nachos please." Alice said decisively, closing the menu. I wondered if she even looked at it. "And sparkling water for the rest of us."

The waitress scribbled down the order on her little notepad, and eyed Edward again.

"You're the best looking vampire I've seen all night." She winked at him, entirely ignoring my existence. I watched as he smiled politely, but moved his arm around me, a signal to her that he was currently spoken for. I scowled down at the table- I could feel Alice and Jasper watching me, waiting for my reaction but I couldn't help it. I hated the way she looked at him, in her own hungry way. The waitress turned away from us, bitter that her advancement on Edward, my Edward, had failed.

"How rude." Alice rolled her eyes as the waitress walked away. "Besides, I'm the best dressed vampire tonight, not you Edward! Maybe Bella, but the thought of Edward being best dressed is ridiculous." She scoffed, tapping her foot on the ground. "Though perhaps if you had let me use a little more fake blood and a touch more eyeshadow."

"Alice." Edward interrupted, silently begging her to stop. "Let's drop the servers comment. It was meaningless."

"It doesn't matter, vampires aren't real anyways." I scowled again, still secretly salty that the waitress had attempted to make a move on someone so clearly taken. I was grateful that Edward had suggested the change in topic; I didn't want the embarrassment of my insecurities to be know.
