Sitting curled up on a sofa, I play with a loose thread on my clothes, feeling numb. I can hear Klaus pacing around outside but I am in no way prepared to have a conversation with him.
Unfortunately, I don't think he cares. Especially when Klaus stops his pacing and opens the door to the room. His eyes are filled with anger, rage and also concern as he looks at me.
"I will torture and kill everyon-" Klaus starts.
"There's no point." I cut him off, sighing. Despite everything, there is nothing in me telling me to inact my revenge. "I can't be bothered."
"What?" Klaus asks, confused by my lack of will.
"You kill one of them, they kill one of us. I can't handle anymore loss right now. Just... get your siblings." I say, standing up from the sofa.
"Love..." Klaus mutters, looking unsure. "Are you okay?"
"Well, I have just come from being tortured but nothing I can't handle and haven't done a thousand times before." I reply, knowing that I honestly couldn't feel anything but an awareness of emptiness inside of me, as if my mind had taken any emotions I had and thrown them away, placing them under lock and key.
Klaus nods. "Well, I was able to get most of my family back."
"Really?" I stand. "Can I see them?"
"Of course." Klaus turns, leading me into another room. Walking in, a man who I assume is one of Klaus's hybrids is pushing the last coffin into the room.
"You've got your family back. Finally." The man says. "Are you gonna open them?"
"Yes he is." I state, looking over to Klaus.
Klaus smirks. "Not quite yet. I still have some unfinished business to take care of." He then begins striding off, clearly hoping to ddo something.
"What business?" The hybrid asks, causing Klaus to turn around to look at him. Just as Klaus goes to say something, the hybrid lets out a scream before dropping to the floor, revealing Elijah stood behind him holding the hybrid's heart. Turning to look at Klaus's face, I see he is shocked by this.
"So Niklaus." Elijah starts.
"Elijah." Klaus mutters.
"What'd I miss?" Elijah asks, pulling a cloth from his pocket and wiping the blood on his hand away. "You look surprised to see me. So it wasn't you who removed the dagger from my chest." I know immediately what is likely to happen, as it does every time on of the Originals is woken from their forced slumber. Usually, there was less talking, but then again, this was Elijah.
"You look like you could do with a drink." Klaus tells Elijah, probably hoping to avoid the inevitable. "We have a lot to discuss."
Once Klaus has turned his head away, Elijah takes his chance, punching him in the face. I sigh, putting my head into my hands as I listen to their fight. Typical.
Looking up again, I watch as Klaus is thrown through a glass door. "Easy. I just finished renovating." Klaus says before continuing their fight. "You know, you have every right to be mad at me. But I kept my word, I reunited you with our family."
"Not what he meant, idiot." I mumble, although my words are drowned out by the sound of punches landing.
Klaus pulls open a coffin, removing the dagger from Kol's heart and raises it above his head. "Don't make me do this to you again Elijah."
"Use it. I dare you." Elijah says, holding his hands up. "You'll have Kol to deal with."
Klaus lowers the dagger. "Mikael is dead."
