"A mother can never forget her child, Kavi. I remember our son, especially my Kiwi." Varenya replies as she clearly remembers the first time she holds her son in her arms. At first, she wasn't a bit interested in him because he didn't play with her. But then they got attached to each other such way that it used to take a lot of effort for Meghna to get them separated, be it for bathing or for eating purpose.
"Thank you." Kavyansh says with a sigh of relief making Varenya to smile sadly.
"You are thanking me for remembering our son?" Varenya asks as a lump form in her throat because of the way she is holding back from crying aloud.
"I am thanking you for not breaking our son's heart." Kavyansh replies softly.
"I didn't know I was pregnant although I felt sick for some days. I thought after meeting your family I would tell you. I didn't want to postpone coming here and missed out on meeting your family." Varenya remarks with a sigh.
Again both of them get silent. Not because they don't have anything to say, because they have too much to tell each other that neither of them understanding where to start. The things they have endured for six years which they have not been told to each other yet. The pain they have felt, the suffering they have to go through, the nightmares they have fought every single night.
A sudden knock on the door break their chain of thoughts. Varenya gets off from Kavyansh and sits on the side while Kavyansh gets up from the bed to open the door. Upon opening the door, Kavyansh finds his mother standing there holding a tray in her hands.
"Dr. Bhavya has said that Varu needs to take the medicine. So, I have brought juice for her." Aaradhya says not going inside the room.
"Maa, why don't you come inside and give her the juice?" Kavyansh asks but Aaradhya shakes her head with a small.
"She only needs you right now, Kavyansh. We shouldn't overwhelm her at this moment. I will meet her later but you go and make her drink the juice. I know she remembers everything but I have still mixed the medicine in the juice." By saying this Aaradhya gives the tray in Kavyansh's hands and leaves from there.
Kavyansh then closes the door and makes his way towards the bed where Varenya is sitting while staring at nowhere particular. He sits in front of her and holds the glass near her lips making her look at him with glossy eyes.
"I don't want to take any medicine." Varenya says turning her head to the other side.
"It's not medicine, Lotus. It's a simple juice." Kavyansh remarks while Varenya huff in response.
"I can smell the medicine, Kavi. You may have been able to fool me earlier but don't try to do it now." Varenya says rolling her eyes making Kavyansh chuckles.
"Okay, fine it has medicine. But you need to drink it for your betterment. Please for me, Lotus." Kavyansh says pinching Varenya's cheek who takes a deep breath and then starts drinking the juice making Kavyansh smiles brightly.
"Yuck! So gross!" Varenya says while gagging.
"It used to be yummy juice according to you." Kavyansh remarks making Varenya to glare at him.
"Shut up, dummy. Now give me chocolate so that I can get rid of this weird taste of medicine." Varenya orders with a shiver as the aftertaste of the medicine is still linger in her tongue.
Kavyansh chuckles and still gets up from the bed to get chocolate from Varenya. But he can't find any chocolate in the drawers where he keeps them. He then remembers that the last batch of chocolates have ended which are brought by Adwait.
