Footsteps echo softly in the hallway and a heavy silence falls as Meghna steps into the room. She says nothing. Her calm presence hushes even the air. She walks straight to Varenya without looking at the blood-soaked floor, without glancing at the shattered pieces of those who once brought nothing but pain. Gently, she places a hand on her daughter's shoulder. Varenya looks up, her eyes meeting the quiet storm in her mother's gaze.

"One last punishment is still due." Meghna speaks, her voice low but the firmness can't be missed.

Everyone stares at her with confusion but Meghna's eyes are fixed on the bodies.

"They burned Darshit after killing him. They did the same to Gautam Dada, to Bondita Boudi. Showed no mercy. Not even to the dead. Then why should we?" Her fingers uncurl slowly to reveal a lighter resting in her palm.

"This was Darshit's favourite lighter. Indra returned it to me with the photograph. I kept it hidden all these years, waiting for a day to use it to destroy these monsters. But now that day has come. Use this. Give them back what they gave us." She says looking at Varenya and Adwait who nod their heads in response.

Varenya stands, accepting the lighter with steady hands. Her silence is as sharp as her mother's. Adwait steps forward, orders the men to carry the dismembered remains outside. Meghna follows quietly, every step heavy with memory, not rage. Her eyes stay on the corpses as they are dumped into the courtyard like discarded waste. No emotion flickers across her face but her fingers tighten slightly in front of her.

Adwait lifts a jar of petrol and pours its contents over the pile. The thick scent fills the air. Meanwhile, Varenya walks forward with a strip of cloth soaked in the same fuel. She strikes the lighter and the next second, small flame dances in her fingers. She lowers it, igniting the cloth. The fire springs to life instantly and with a soft breath, she throws it onto the bodies. In seconds, the fire roars in full flame- hungry and wild, consuming every piece.

No one speaks, only stare at the fire. Meghna watches quietly as the fire rises, warm against her skin. Tears slides down her cheeks, not from guilt but from release. The pain they caused ends tonight. No more innocent lives will be taken. No more families destroyed. Her grief stands tall, dignified but not broken.

And as the flames turn flesh and blood to ash, Meghna exhales softly- finally letting go of the weight she has carried for years.

However, Varenya is staring into space. She should be happy and eelieved. After all, the revenge she has waited for all these months is finally done. The monsters who destroyed her world are gone, every single one of them. Their blood stains her hands, her clothes, the ground she stands on.

But she doesn't move.

She doesn't blink.

She just stands there in complete silence, like a statue carved out of grief and rage. Her face is expressionless but her eyes, those eyes are empty. No, they are hollow. As if her soul has left her body and she is just existing.

The air around her smells of blood and smoke. Her clothes are torn in places, soaked and sticky. Her arms hang loosely by her sides, streaked with dirt and crimson. Her knuckles are bruised. There are small cuts on her face but she doesn't seem to feel it. She hasn't cried, not a single tear has been shed by her.

Then suddenly, two strong arms wrap around her from behind, gently and very carefully. As if holding something that might break apart with the slightest touch.
