"Where are you taking me, Kavi?" Varenya asks with a smile, her voice full of playful curiosity. Her eyes are covered with a soft blindfold while her fingers are lightly wrapped around his.

Kavyansh doesn't answer. He only holds her hand gently and leads her through the quiet corridors of Rathore Palace. The sound of their footsteps echoes lightly against the marble floor. The hustle of wedding preparations is far behind them now. Tonight is just for them.

He stops at a door, opens it slowly and gently guides her inside. A faint scent of rosewood and fresh paint fills the air. When he unties the blindfold, Varenya's eyes blink softly, adjusting to the warm, golden lights.

The room is glowing. Tiny fairy lights hang from the ceiling like a blanket of stars. Candles flicker along the edges of the walls, their flames dancing in the hush of the night. In one corner, a soft record plays a slow instrumental tune, adding a tender rhythm to the silence.

This is the painting room- an extension of their bedroom that opens up to a little world only they share.

The brushes are arranged neatly. Canvases lean against the far wall, memories of evenings spent together with colors and quiet words. And right in the center of the room, under a soft spotlight, stands a half-finished painting.

Varenya's eyes stop there.

She walks toward it slowly, heart beating just a little faster. The painting is of her- elegant, soft, timeless. But it remains unfinished. It's the 2191st painting of her that Kavyansh didn't get to complete with everything going on.

"Surprise." Kavyansh says, turning to her with a soft smile.

"You planned this?" Varenya looks around, eyes wide.

"It's been a while since we painted together. I thought we could bring back one of our oldest rituals. Also, tomorrow you are leaving and will be back here after the wedding." Kavyansh replies.

"Only a few days are left for the wedding. And we need to follow the rituals." Varenya says caressing Kavyansh's face while he nods his head in understanding.

"I never touched it again after that day." Kavyansh says softly looking at the incomplete painting.

Varenya doesn't speak but her fingers reach out and brush lightly against the dry canvas.

"Will you help me complete it tonight?" Kavyansh asks, his voice lower now. A small smile blooms on Varenya's lips. She looks at him with eyes full of warmth and replies...

"No."

"Why?" Kavyansh asks, frown appears on his face.

"Because I have something else in my mind." Varenya replies with a mischievous glint on her eyes.

"And may I know exactly what you have in your mind?" Kavyansh asks, raising an eyebrow.

"You will complete the painting with your eyes closed." Varenya answers.

"Is that a dare?" Kavyansh arched a brow.

"Hmm. If you complete it with your eyes closed, I will give you a reward." Varenya nods, biting her lower lip.

"What kind of reward?" Kavyansh gives her a slow, knowing smile.

"That depends on how well you paint me, Mr. Rathore." Varenya teased, handing him the blindfold she had just worn.

"I am warning you. I have painted you in my head a thousand times. I don't need to see you to remember you." Kavyansh says, picking up the brush after wrapping the blindfold around his head.
