Chapter 8

Breanna POV
The dreaded game of truth or dare. I've hated it ever since high school but could never resist the urge to play.

After it all ended Scott pulled me aside while everyone said their goodbyes.

"Breanna, Kirstie is really sick.... She can't be in the band anymore..." He said breaking down. Once he pulled himself together he continued. "We need you to take her spot in the band, since she no longer chooses to stay with us."

"Scott I would love too." I said smiling.

We walked back to the living room as Bre and I made eye contact. We ran to each other and hugged.

"I know I'll see you in the summer but I'll miss you so much." I said as we let go.

"Same Breanna Mack." She said as I went to hug Caleb.

"Keep Bre safe." I whispered into Caleb's ear as we hugged.

"I will." He said as I walked away.

"Okay well we will see you all this summer." Scott said as we walked out.

We got back in the car and went to the airport. I slept the whole way since I hadn't slept in about 48 hours.

Once I got home I fell back asleep until sound check.

"HEYYY." I screamed as I ran backstage.

"BRANANA PEEL!!" Scott said running to me. We hugged then went to go grab our microphones. We went through the sound check and then went to hang out backstage. That's when my phone went off.

"EVERYONE!! Shut up I have to take this phone call." I said before answering my phone.

"Hello?" I said answering my phone.

The phone call went by in a flash and I could barely believe my ears. I clicked the end call button and placed my hand over my mouth.

"What is it Breanna?" Scott questioned.

"I...... I was nominated for another tony award." I said not believing it.

"Breanna that's amazing!!" Scott said as everyone crushed me in a group hug.

I called Sammy and he freaked out and told me he would be down.

Then I called Bre. She also freaked out and I told her she had to come down.

"Of course I'll come down!!" She screamed into the phone. We said our goodbyes and that's when it hit me.

"Oh my god....." I said while breaking down. Scott pulled me into a hug and I cried tears of joy into his chest.

The tony awards are in a week......

Sammy showed up a day before the tony awards with Bre on a flight soon after. Bre and I went shopping to go find a dress and even though I hate shopping it was nice to be with Bre.

The day had arrived. I was allowed to bring three people so I brought Bre, Sammy, and Scotty.

"How do I look?" I said stepping out in my gown with full makeup and hair.

"Stunning." Scott said after awhile.

I smiled and we got in a cab. Once we showed up I was ushered on to the red carpet. I smiled for a few photos and served. They I made a silly face towards the paparazzi because that's what I always do. I heard my friends laugh as they saw me and I stuck my tongue out at them and laughed back. Once I got to the end my friends were waiting for me.

"Madame." Scott said escorting me with his arm around my waist.

We found our seats and Bre sat closest to the isle which scared me a bit to be honest. Then Sammy sat next to her, then me and then Scott. We sat down right as the show started.

It was about the middle of the show and I had to run backstage to change for my performance. My show that had just closed was asked to perform tonight and I was ecstatic!

We performed and everyone cheered loudly. I smiled, changed backstage and found my seat. That's when my category was called.

Scott placed his hand on my thigh and I smiled. He grabbed my hand and squeezed it a bit. I squeezed it back and turned my attention to the stage. Sam quickly grabbed my other hand as I thanked him with a smile.

"And the winner of lead actress in a Broadway musical is......."
